Electronic waste is accepted with special thanks
to the support of Samsung Electronics who fund this
service. As electronics usage continues to increase,
some suppliers have voluntarily improved their effort
and accepted responsibility in the disposal of e-waste.
When purchasing new electronics, please check with the
supplier to see if they will accept the old electronics.

Household hazardous waste and electronic
waste can be dropped off free of charge to residents*
Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The
Salt Lake County Health Department operates two
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection facilities.

All colors accepted. No separation
required. Please no garbage, porcelain,
ceramic, plate glass windows, light bulbs
or cardboard.

proper use of green waste and recycling containers is
mandatory. If your cart is found with contamination,
pick up may be refused or the cart may be removed.

» Should a holiday fall on a scheduled collection
day, all collections will be delayed one day for
the remainder of the week, to include a Saturday
collection. The normal collection schedule will
resume the following week.

The city holds free shredding and electronic
waste recycling days quarterly for residents. The
shred days are held in the City Hall parking lot, 8000
S. Redwood Road and are typically scheduled the first
Saturday of the following months:

representative in order to complete a reservation.

residents but may only be scheduled once every 60
days per residence, subject to availability.

be used by businesses or commercial contractors.
