Drop Off Guidelines - Recycling Grand Junction CO
Drop Off Location and Hours
The drop off is located on West Avenue
just north of Hwy 340 (Broadway), inside
the City Municipal Services Campus. To
get there take Hwy 340 (also called
Broadway or Grand Ave) west from the
1st Street & I-70 B interchange. Turn
right (north) at the second light, onto
West Avenue. Turn left at the first gate
into the services campus. Follow the signs
to the drop off area.
Hours are Monday thru Friday
7:00- 4:00
Saturday 9:00- 3:00
Please call for holiday closures
E-Waste is no longer being accepted
by GJ CRI.
Please check your local directory for
electronic recycling options.
GJ CRI, in cooperation with the City
of Grand Junction, is happy to provide residents with this recycling option. The West Avenue drop off offers
convenience for City residents without curbside service and curbside
customers with that occasional over
abundance of material. It is also open
to residents of the county and beyond.
Household hazardous waste, tires,
construction debris, Christmas
trees, and/or yard waste are NOT
accepted at the drop off.
Please help keep the drop off an option! The West Avenue drop off produces, by far, the greatest amount of
budget busting “trash” of all our services. If we are to continue offering
the drop off option, we ask that all
users review and comply with the requirements listed in this publication.
Drop Off Safety
The recycling drop off is not for
trash disposal! Please remove and
discard lids, plastic and styrofoam
packing material, plastic bags, and
other trash prior to bringing it to the
center or be prepared to take it away
with you when you leave.
Please refer all questions about the West
Avenue Drop Off and the curbside
recycling service to GJ CRI directly.
Please use special caution when visiting
the drop off. Note that it is a one-way
traffic pattern. Pull all the way forward
so that the drop off bins are not blocked
for other customers. Watch for traffic and
equipment in the left (through) lane.
Please keep your pets in your vehicle and
an eye on your children. Thanks for helping us keep the drop off safe for everyone!
