Course Description:
Each Thursday, an invited UCLA faculty member, student, postdoctoral fellow or external guest speaker provides a 50
minute lecture to introduce students to the various fields, careers and issues of environmental health.
Learning Objectives/ ASPH Competencies:

Course Grading:
Grading (Pass/No Pass) is based on attendance and class participation. Students are allowed 2 excused absences. If the
student is over the allotted number of absences, he/she must complete a makeup assignment for each absence
thereafter. Please make sure to contact Nancy M. Gonzalez at ngonzalez@ph.ucla.edu after missing more than two
seminars in order to obtain a make-up assignment.
