2015-2016 Enrichment & Innovation Grant Guidelines
2015-2016 Enrichment & Innovation Grant Guidelines
The Enumclaw Schools Foundation (ESF) offers teachers and staff in Enumclaw’s schools small
grants through the Enrichment & Innovation Grant Program. These grants focus on projects
that serve an individual classroom, an entire grade, course level or school, and that extend the
regular curriculum, encourage higher-level thinking skills, or enrich students through culture,
art, or other activities. Teachers, specialists, counselors, principals, and administrators are
eligible to submit grants. ESF Enrichment & Innovation grants are awarded in any
amount up to $2,500.00.
Requirements:
•
•
•
•
•
The project involves, at a minimum, all students in a classroom, students across a grade
level (elementary school) or course level (middle/high school), or entire school.
The school principal or other administrator must approve all grant applications.
The application deadline is May 15, 2015. (See Grant Application)
Grants will be awarded by June 12, 2015.
If you received a grant for the 2014-2015 year, your project report must be
received before future applications will be considered for other grants.
The following will help your grant get funded:
•
•
•
Accurate completion of the application, including a timeline and accurate budget.
Active student involvement.
Multi-school projects (e.g. a project may be an author or artist visit at more than one
school).
Common reasons grants do not get funded:
•
•
•
•
Lack of a definite project or detailed budget.
Lack of clear educational purpose or cultural value.
Application submitted late, or application incomplete.
Request for items/programs already covered by the ESD budget.
Non-fundable items:
•
•
•
•
•
•
Money spent prior to grant approval.
Teacher salary or release time.
Non-instructional consumables (including food and incentives).
Graduate study, conferences, seminars or study abroad.
Computer related items not supported by ESD technical support.
Capital improvement projects, including but not limited to furniture, display cases and
playground equipment.
