THE Bearded Gypsy Band The Bearded Gypsy Band compose and perform their own style of eclectic gypsy music with folk, jazz, celtic, blues and roots influences. The Crooked Fiddle Band Described as “face-melting, jawdropping, head-spinning”, this is fiery folk with the detail of progrock to create a genre all their own: “chainsaw folk”. Czech Dva A quirky and mysterious duo presenting quirky and mysterious songs that mash together electronics, pop, tango, cabaret Harry Jakamarra Old Appalachian stomp meets grungy folk rock by way of gutsy banjo playing and an unforgettable lyrical style. In Za Loop Hoop Dance International hoop dance instructor of the year, Deanne Love, spreads her knowledge of what she does best. Prepare to join the Hoop Revolution! Kallidad Metal mariachi madness featuring skeleton face paint and a splash of Dia de los Muertos. What more could you want? Katie J White Band Katie J White leads her original roots music super group. A heavy rhythmic sound, driven by her extraordinary bass playing & powerful vocals. Kiersten & Cionne FAGE Whether the songs are traditional or original, one thing’s for certain: this duo’s charming musical chemistry will sweep you away. Koi Child What do you get when you combine Fremantle-based bands Kashikoi and Child’s Play? A wicked blend of funk, jazz and improv. The Lammas Tide Resonant lady-vocals, soaring fiddles and a little fuzz guitar are what this WAMi-nominated psych-folk band are all about. Miracle Band X Infectious rhythms and lyrics built for storytelling makes this group one of the most original acts you’re likely to see. Nodes Hip-hop lyricism spun around words both heartfelt and tongue-in-cheek, with a little blues and flamenco thrown in for good measure. Oh Pep! They’re the 2014 Folk Alliance Australia Youth Performer Of The Year and this four-piece deserve to go straight to the top of your Don’t-Miss List. Raksha Last year’s The Quest winners jam tight harmonies and neat beats into some sweet contemporary folk rock. Ross Vegas Beatboxing, rapping and livesampling combine in a hugely entertaining one-man a cappella set, across every genre you can think of. The Royal Parks The Royal Parks sing exquisite, pure ballads with beautiful harmonies, dynamic band arrangements and lush textures. Rowena Wise This 20-year-old blends popinfused melodies and conversational lyrics to create songs in the vein of Regina Spektormeets-Feist. Irresistible. Tolka Fresh from an extended stay in Belfast putting together a new album, this Melbourne group delight in playing traditional tunes in a contemporary context. Ungus Ungus Ungus The psychedelic gypsy progrock group so radical they chose the same name three times. Carnivalesque party music for the creatively-inclined. The Woods Formerly known as Kids With Wolves, this pair of multi-instrumentalists never fail to deliver a full and inspiring sound. Quest Winners Be inspired by WA’s youngest emerging songwriters: the 2015 winners of Fairbridge Festival's own songwriting competition take to the stage. Scotch Youth Voices Scotch College students perform songs they have workshopped with Fairbridge Festival Patron, Andrew Winton. Body Painting Ruby Liddelow (Ruby Spinning) Grab a friend and learn how to paint each other's faces Mexican sugar skull style with bodypainter Ruby Spinning. Learn a range of secret tricks and professional techniques to transform yourselves into Dia de Los Muertos masterpieces! OUTDOOR activities GOOD FOOD FOR COOL DUDES Underwater Prayer Garden Ties in with Mexican Flower making workshop! Take a moment and write a message to someone special, maybe someone who isn't here anymore ... place a ritual offering ... say a silent prayer. You don't have to be a master chef to create healthy and tasty treats for your tum! If you're aged between 13 and 17 come and join other cool dudes creating good food in the Clubhouse Kitchen.
