Lifelines
Praise God from whom all
blessings flow! The first four
months have passed very quickly and the
Lord continues to provide for every single
need that His children have in abundant
and timely ways. I am grateful for His
Hand of comfort and healing during these
most challenging days.
May is a time to enjoy the beauty of God’s
handiwork, motherhood, graduation, and
Memorial Day. This month will also be
used to train and prepare FBC-Lavon’s
Pastor Search Team to meet with prospects who are seeking God’s will to pastor a local church. Please continue to lift
up each person as they give themselves
to this most challenging task.

Volunteers Needed:
We are in need of volunteers who be willing to
help once a month in the Preschool Worship
KidStyle during the 11:00am Worship service.
We are also in need of people who would be
willing to help monitor the gym on Wednesday
evenings from 6-7pm. This could be once a
month or with whatever frequency you would be
willing to help. If you are available to help with
either of these areas, contact the Nancy Bratcher,
Cheryl McBrayer, or Christa Montgomery.
Also, I would like to express to each of
you my heart-felt thanks for your prayers,
cards, flowers, and love extended to my
family during the loss of our sweet mother. Also, I appreciate the gift given in
honor of Mom to her church home – Town
East Baptist Church. An indoor prekindergarten playground will be built in
her memory soon.
Mother’s Day will have a different “feel” to
it this time for the Townsley family. We
all have our moments when we think
about our mothers and the lasting impression they make in our lives. As I thought
about it recently, a couple of songs came
to mind. If you are interested in hearing
them, you may Google them and perhaps, God will use them in a special way
to minister to your life. The first song is
sung by Jason Crabb (Live Performance)
entitled, “I Sure Miss You.” I imagine
many of you would love to sing this song
to your mom. Also, if she were singing a
song to you from Heaven, this might be
her choice, “Look for Me at Jesus’ Feet”
sung by the Booth Brothers plus Gerald
Wolfe.
I am especially proud to be the son of a
World War II veteran. My dad was at
Pearl Harbor that came under attack by
the Japanese on December 7,
1941. Many of you have had loved ones
who willingly sacrificed their lives during
wartime to provide for liberty and freedom
that we enjoy in this country. God bless
America! She remains the greatest nation
in the world.
May God bring revival to this church,
community, and the USA. Pease join me
in praying for a great spiritual wave of
brokenness and repentance to come to
each of us as we observe the soon return
of Christ approaching. “For the Lord
Himself will descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And
the dead in Christ will rise first. Then
we who are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And
thus we shall always be with the
Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
Soon and very soon, we are going to see
the King! I love you with the love of the
Lord.

Special Focus
Women’s Conference 2015
The 2015 Women’s Conference
was a time of spiritual uplifting
with between 80 & 90 ladies in
attendance. Potter and speaker,
Rachel Norris illustrated through
her use of pottery how God molds
our lives. God is the potter and we
are the clay, and He shapes and
reshapes our lives into vessels that
are used by Him. Being willing to
be centered in God’s hands in obedience is the place of true freedom.
Worship through music was led by
Pam Blackstock and “The Band”
and set the tone for the day wonderfully. Emily Cornelius and
Lexi Wolf shared information and
a short video from their recent
mission trip to Honduras. God is
using these vessels and others to
do a great work there. “Praise God
through whom all blessings flow!”
for this truly was a blessed day.
