Market research and identification Mission to Algeria for Nordic Companies
between 6.5.2015 – 8.5.2015
Dear Madam / Sir,
Finalgo Partners Oy is organizing a market research mission to Algiers, Algeria 6th – 8th of May 2015.
The mission will be supported by high-level representatives from the Finnish Ministry for Foreign
Affairs and by the local Finnish Embassy in Algeria. Participating companies will be provided the
possibility to introduce themselves to relevant Algerian decision makers and the relevant ministries in
their field.
Algeria is an economy in transition from state controlled socialism to a modern market economy offering
similar possibilities as e.g, China or India (or other economies in transition) while they opened up to the
market economy. Currently Algeria is a less known market for Nordic companies, but it has big potential.
Algeria is an almost debtless state, among the top ten global oil producers, and the 3rd largest producer of
liquid natural gas in the world. Algeria has a trade surplus ca.160 billion USD. The Algerian government
distributes and uses this significant sum towards modernizing and building the country’s infrastructure on
every sector of the society. The private sector grows alongside the public sector creating wealth and
purchasing power to this 38 million people consumer market. Nordic companies have a a good reputation
in Algeria and are considered to be reliable and desirable business partners.
The goal of the market research mission is to introduce Finnish and Nordic companies to Algerian business
culture, and to establish direct partnerships between companies. After the mission, Finalgo Partners, through
its local presence, can help participating companies with the follow-up with Algerian counterparts and help
participating companies develop further business possibilities in Algeria.
Since 2007, Finalgo Partners has contributed to the export of various types of industrial products and
technologies to the North-African market and especially to Algeria. Finalgo has a local company Finalgo
Algerie SARLwith an office and local staff in Algeria conducting day-to-day business development and
marketing work for Finnish and Nordic customers. In 2012 Finalgo organized all the business-to-business
meetings during the visit of Minister For Foreign Trade of Finland Mr. Alexander Stubb.
The focus of the visit will be on the following sectors:
1. Cleantech & Energy fields

The preliminary program is as follows:
May 7th, 2015
*Morning coffee and registration together with relevant Algerian high level public authorities (Minister of
Environment, Minister of Energy, Minister of Industry and mining)
* Opening of seminar by Algerian officials
* Presentation of business possibilities in Algeria: Algerian Chamber of Commerce & Agence Nationale
pour le Developpement des Investissements/ Algerian Ministry for Commerce
* DIVISION OF DELEGATION to 3 THEMATIC GROUPS: Participating companies will make
presentations to Algerian Gvt. Officials and relevant Algerian business counterparts
*Business-to-business meetings with Algerian stakeholders and Nordic Companies
* There will be an luncheon/buffet and coffee breaks allowing participants to mingle and make each other's
acquaintance
Finalgo will take care of the travel arrangements for the group from Finland, including the following:

Group flight reservations from Helsinki to Algiers and back. (Departure from Helsinki 6.5 and return
8.5.2015)
Local transportation in Algeria from the airport to the hotel venue
Hotel reservations in Algeria in a 5-star hotel
Finalgo will make the visa invitation letter to registered participants and instruct with the visa
application (The visa application takes 2 weeks)
To cover the expenses, Finalgo will charge a participation fee of 4500 EUR + VAT 24 % for companies
sending 1 representative. The fee for additional representatives/company is 3500 EUR + VAT 24 %. The
participation fee will cover the following:

Flights: Finland – Algeria – Finland
2 nights hotel accommodation in Algeria in a 5-star hotel
Transportation from the airport to the hotel in Algeria
The rent for the meeting premises at the hotel in Algeria for the event
Translators during the meetings
Coffee breaks and the official luncheon both for delegates and Algerian counterparts (Altogether 100
– 150 persons)
For non-Finnish companies or Finnish companies that do not wish to travel within the group (independent
flight arrangements), Finalgo will charge a participation fee of 3900 EUR + VAT 24 % for companies
sending 1 representative. The fee for additional representatives/ company is 2900 EUR + VAT 24 %.

the attached registration form no later than on Wednesday April 1, 2015. The registration is binding

be contacted for more information about their program requests and expectations for business-tobusiness meetings, and will receive further information about practical arrangements.
