April 14 6:30 - 7:30 pm Double Springs Baptist Church 3800 Locust Hill Road, Taylors, SC Make plans now to attend this annual meeting. Sandra Tapp from our own State WMU Office will be speaking. “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.” Mark 16:6 Women on What An Exciting Journey, Traveling Back In Time To An Area Of The World Known As, The Cradle Of Christianity! Mis‐ We have logged Over 200 Rugged Miles, while Traveling Together through Ancient Asia Minor. We’ve taken time to explore some of the most Important Cities of the New Testament: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, and Sardis. While worshiping in the Christian Church in each of these cities, we’ve learned how much we have in common with our first century brothers and sisters in Christ. The challenges and temptations they faced are no different than ours. As we mingled among the citizens of each city, we learned about its culture and gained a better understanding of how the first century’s “Cradle of Christianity” degenerated into the modern day Muslim nation of Turkey. Two cities remain on our Travel Agenda. We will arrive in Philadelphia on Sunday, April 19, and our journey will conclude in the city of Laodicea on Sunday, April 26. Hopefully, our experiences in these seven first century cities, and the Christian Churches in each city, has opened our eyes and hearts to the needs in our own city and church. April 17 - Margaret Mull 19 - Sam Woody Men & Boys Rally “Ambassadors for Christ” Worship thoughts: Worship is in its very nature evangelistic. When God’s people are engaged in worship and enraptured by His presence, unbelievers will witness lives being transformed by the presence of God, becoming “salt and light” to a world that is both bland and blind. SALT AND LIGHT Jan L'Ecuyer and John L'Ecuyer You make me want to be like You Your holiness I will pursue I want the heart of Jesus Show me the meaning of Your grace I want to give the world a taste Of the love of Jesus Make me salt make me light Let Your holy fire ignite Reveal Your glory in my life I am not ashamed to lift up Your holy name Make me salt make me light Set me as a city on a hill A lamp on a stand Mold me in Your image The work of Your hand CCLI Song # 3470093 Workplace, School Place, Market Place—Every Place!
