TUESDAY @ 8.00 pm ~ PW meeting with guest speaker Mr. Noel
Johnston from Crom Castle.
WEDNESDAY @ 7.30 pm ~ CONGREGATIONAL COMMITTEE
meeting in the Choir Room (agenda to follow).
THURSDAY @ 7.30 pm ~ E100 resumes for the final three weeks in
the Lecture Hall. Week 18 :: Paul to the leaders (readings below).
PW:
PW (and friends) have received an invitation from Irvinestown /
Tempo PW to their Visitors' Night TOMORROW EVENING (13th) at
7.30 pm in Irvinestown Presbyterian Church. The theme and
presentation of the evening is "The Road My Sister Walks", with
guest speakers from Open Doors, an international ministry serving
persecuted Christians and churches worldwide. There will be a
retiring collection for the work of Open Doors.
Next Sunday:
Our Congregational Annual General Meeting will take place
immediately after Morning Worship.
New Communicant Meeting:
Tuesday 21st April @ 7.30 pm ~ Elders’ meeting with our new
communicants in the Youth Room (anyone wishing to come
forward for communion should speak to Jane individually this
week).
This Day Fortnight:
Communion Services at 11.30 am and 7.00 pm.
Prayer Points for the Week:
Rev. David Steele... Pray for Rev. Steele as
he travels to Kenya to attend the General
Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of East
Africa (PCEA) which will take place from 13th
to 18th April. Pray also that the members of
the Assembly will be guided by God in all
their discussions and decisions and that his
visit will strengthen the partnership between
PCI and PCEA.
Linzi Cobain (Nightlight Project)... Give
thanks for the continuing opportunities for the
team to share their faith with people of all
situations and walks of life around the main
entertainment areas of Belfast on a Friday
and Saturday night. Also, pray for wisdom for
them as they help people in practical ways
and as they answer questions in relation to
their Christian faith.
c4u... Give thanks for the dedication and
commitment of the leaders of c4u and pray
that c4u members (aged 11-15) would
continue to grow in their Christian faith as
they serve Christ in church, at home, at
school and amongst their friendship circle.
Farming Community... Pray for local farmers
during this busy spring season as they
prepare the ground for new crops, care
for their animals including new-borns and
carry on with the regular daily farming routine.
Other Notices:
Omagh Methodist Church are organising a ‘Breakfast for All’ in the Peter Good Hall, James Street this Saturday
(18th) at 9.00 am (£5 charge). Apart from eating a hearty breakfast the guest speaker will also give an interesting
talk based on the story of the Titanic. If you are considering going along it would be useful for the organisers to
know… telephone John Buchanan on 077 3482 3752.
Lislimnaghan Church of Ireland will host an ‘All Age’ Praise Service this Saturday evening (18th) at 8.00 pm.
There will be a Presbytery Prayer Evening in Mountjoy Presbyterian Church next Sunday (19th) at 7.30 pm.
Omagh Golf Club have taken up the challenge of raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. In doing so, they hope
to increase awareness of dementia as well as highlighting the information
and support available to the people of Omagh and the surrounding areas.
Omagh Golf Club Ladies committee are holding an evening function on
Tuesday 21st April starting at 8.00 pm. Guest speaker for the evening will
be Professor Peter Passmore who will discuss the topic “Can we prevent
dementia?”. Adele Doherty from Alzheimer’s Society will talk about the
services, information and support provided by the Society in this
