Please also tell us who you are and why these hymns are so special to you. Anonymous suggestions can also be made. Prayer Points for the Week: General Assembly... Give thanks for the variety and diversity of the work of PCI and pray for ministers, representative elders, PW and SPUD representatives this week as they meet to consider the various reports being presented by the Councils and Commissions of our denomination. Pray for wisdom and grace as decisions are taken and resolutions passed on a breadth of issues which affect the work and witness of the church and it’s proclamation of the gospel through word and action. Global Mission... Pray for the various mission partners who will be visiting the General Assembly from many parts of the world. Pray that they will have an enriching and uplifting Assembly and may experience the warmth and welcome of their Presbyterian sisters and brothers here in Ireland. Pray also for the churches and countries they represent as they too seek to proclaim the Gospel through word and action. Stormont... Please pray that a workable solution may be found to the current impasse in Stormont over the Welfare Reform Bill. Pray for wisdom and courage from all parties as they gather together in Stormont House on Tuesday 2nd June to seek an agreement. Remember also all those who are anxious or worried about the impact of welfare cuts on themselves or on their local communities and services. Nursing Homes... Give thanks for the high quality of care, commitment and dedication of staff in the various nursing homes in the Omagh area, especially PCI’s Harold McCauley Home. Remember the residents of the homes in your prayers, that they would feel valued and loved, receive good quality care and medical attention and would have a sense of God’s peace and presence with them.
