Sustainable fisheries in Welsh Waters project Open meeting for the fishing industry Bangor University in collaboration with the fishing industry in Wales has undertaken a three year project to improve the scientific understanding of commercially important fisheries in Wales. This project has focused on scallops, whelks, brown crab, lobster, prawns and bass. The project ends in May 2015. A series of meetings have been organised around Wales in the locations below. Each meeting is open to any member of the Welsh fishing industry. The science team will report on the key findings for each of the species.
