Homeland Infrastructure Threat and Risk Analysis Center (HITRAC) est Overview and Vision The Homeland Infrastructure Threat and Risk Analysis Center (HITRAC ) leads the Nation’s premier analytical teams in the conduct of critical infrastructure related modeling, simulation, and analysis in close collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its security partners. HITRAC aims to be a nationally recognized provider of current, accurate, and comprehensive critical infrastructure risk information, modeling, and analysis that informs the prioritization of risk and supports risk management strategies, thus enhancing the resilience of the Nation. HITRAC will move toward this vision by building a robust and comprehensive suite of infrastructure analysis programs that will produce rapid, precise studies in support of a wide range of government and private sector programs and decisionmakers. Source: DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection Mission Statement HITRAC’s mission is to provide strategic, operational, and tactical products and services to DHS and its partners through an analytic framework that integrates critical infrastructure and risk analysis; strategic risk analysis; risk methodology development and modeling; and intelligence analysis and operational activities. HITRAC Analysis and Products HITRAC provides decision support analysis to stakeholders and partners through strategic risk analysis, prioritization efforts, methodology development, modeling and simulation, intelligence analysis, incident planning, and response activities during both steady state and in response to crises. HITRAC also serves as the program management office for the National Infrastructure Simulation and Analysis Center (NISAC), which provides modeling, simulation, and analysis of critical infrastructure, including their interdependencies, consequence of loss, and other complexities. HITRAC products inform Federal, State, local, tribal, territorial, and international partners’ decisionmaking processes. All products are designed to assist policy, budgetary, stakeholder, and partner understanding of risks to critical infrastructure and that best inform risk management decisions.
