Wilder-Waite Parent Bulletin
Gym shoes are required for P.E. class! It would be a good
idea to leave shoes here at school for days when your
child wears boots.
FROM THE PTO: Please join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, February 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Valentine’s Day Party: Volunteers are needed in the following classrooms; Mrs. Dean, Mrs. Hammon, Mrs. Welsh, Ms. Benavidez, Mr. Corry, Mr.
Conlee. The Sign-up Genius links were emailed to parents in those classes
earlier this week.
Music Program—The Wilder-Waite 2nd and 3rd graders will present their music programs on Tuesday,
January 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. The
3rd graders will perform Arf! The Musical, based on different
breeds of dogs. The 2nd graders will perform Swamped! The
Musical, based on any animal that lives in a swamp. Mrs.
Fredericksen sent home a letter to parents with costume suggestions. Costumes are not required, and if you choose not
to wear one, black pants or skirts and black or white tops are
fine. 2ND grade students should report to the cafeteria at
6:15 p.m. 3RD grade students should report to their classrooms at 6:15 p.m.
Health Notes: Just a reminder: When your child r etur ns to
school from an extended illness, they are expected to participate in all
activities, including physical education class and outdoor recess. A
note from a parent/guardian will excuse a student from certain activities for two days. Any restrictions in excess of two days will require a
statement from a physician.
If your student brings in any non-prescription medication (i.e. cough
drops, Tylenol, Advil, etc.), a School Medication Authorization form
must be filled out, signed, and sent to school. This form can be found
on the W-W website under Resources. The medication needs to be in
it’s original container or package with the student’s name on it. Thank
you for your cooperation.
Per Illinois State requirements, 2nd Graders will need to submit an updated dental examination form to the school office by May 1, 2016.
The exam must be dated after November 15, 2014 and be on an Illinois
dental examination form to be accepted. If you have any questions,
you can call the school office or email our health aide at lgassman@dunlapcusd.net.
