You will effectively maintain good public relations in accordance with the goals and targets set by the Southland Aquatic Centre. FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS It is a key responsibility that relationships must be developed and maintained in such a way as to bring about a positive and respectful response from those the team member liaises with. ESSENTIAL Education and Qualifications DESIRABLE NZ ASTA (New Zealand Assistant Swim Teacher Award) or ability to obtain. National Lifeguard Award or ability to obtain. First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain. Knowledge, Skills and Ability to lead o group of pre-schoolers. Previous experience in learn to swim teaching. Experience High level of customer relations and Experience working with children in a coaching communication skills. Personal Qualities role. Ability to relate to people across all age ranges. Ability to communicate in a non-threatening, helpful and friendly way. Exhibit personal attributes/behaviours that will encourage customers to return to Splash Palace e.g. friendliness, enthusiasm and professionalism. Ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
