YOUTH ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE 2015 REGISTRATION for March 22 – June 2, 2015 All players must be registered with ISI Hockey before he/she is allowed on the ice. ISI Hockey is $26.00 per year. ISI Hockey runs from September 1st through August 31st. ISI payments must be made online at www.skateisi.org. Proof of payment must be submitted with registration. HKY I - 16 practices/games @ $9.00 per ice time for a total of $144.00 HKY II - 18 practices/games @ $9.00 per ice time for a total of $162.00 HKY III - 18 practices/games @ $9.00 per ice time for a total of $162.00 Payment is due on or before your first practice/game. All payments must be paid with either a check or credit card. If you chose to “pay as you play” a payment of $12.50 is due as you enter the rink. Players NOT on the roll sheets will be charged this fee when entering the rink. Parents who do not escort their child(ren) into the building must send a check with the proper amount needed with their child(ren). All players are required to dress in full equipment, including a HECC approved helmet with a full face shield for all practices and games. Players will be ruled off the ice until all required equipment is worn including the Ice Palace Blue and White league jerseys. League jersey purchases are mandatory. Jersey cost is $54.45. No swearing or abusive language on the bench, on the ice or in the rink common areas. No lashing out or vulgar language to be directed to any league official / rink staff or other players. Anyone who receives a penalty will skate directly to the penalty box, or they may be ejected from the game. Fighting will not be tolerated. Fighting will result in an immediate suspension which will not be less than 90 days and may cause expulsion from the league. 5. There will be no drinking of alcohol, smoking or use of any illegal substance while in the rink. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or illegal substance will be asked to leave immediately. 6. When the zamboni drives onto the ice surface, all players will immediately skate off the ice. There is to be no sitting on the boards while the zamboni is on the ice. 7. I will conduct myself in a befitting manner at all times. 8. Accordingly, in consideration of my child being allowed to participate in all skating activities and/or other activities at Ice Palace Ice Arena, I agree to the following: 1. I acknowledge and fully understand that my child will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury which may result not only from my child’s actions but also from the action, inaction, or negligence of others, and further that there may be risks not known to me or not reasonably foreseeable. 2. On behalf of my child, I assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for my own damages following such injury. 3. On behalf of my child, I release, waive, discharge, covenant not to sue Ice Palace Ice Arena and all their respective Agents, Affiliates, Associates, Officers, Directors, Owners, and Employees (Collectively Releases) from demands, losses, or damages on account of any injury, death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or part by releases or any other party’s actions, inactions, or otherwise: and agree to indemnify releases from any and all third party claims caused in whole or part by my child’s action. This includes games, warm-ups, pickup hockey and stick & puck practices. o Players who clearly do not belong at the level they are playing will be moved to the appropriate level at any time at the discretion of the league administration. o Ice Palace Adult Hockey League strongly supports ZERO TOLERENCE in regards to our referees. They are a huge part of the success of our Adult Hockey League and we thank them as should you. o Fighting will NOT BE TOLERATED. All offenses carry no less than a 90 day suspension. o Three minor penalties in any game carries expulsion from that game and the next game suspension. o Playoff game times and days may not fall on your regularly scheduled days or times. o All players including goalies must use the IPAH League jersey for all league games. Goalies jerseys will be enforced. o All suspensions carry over to the next season the suspended player participates in. o No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises. This includes inside the facility and parking lot. o Any player visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will be asked to leave the arena/ice immediately. Codes of Conduct o Unsafe behavior or harassment of any kind, either verbal or physical, and the use of profanity, abusive language, or intimidation, is prohibited. Conduct is expected to be in the spirit of good sportsmanship. o Do not leave valuable items unattended. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or misplaced articles. o Locker rentals are available to secure your valuables. o All sports carry some risk, including risk of serious injury. You assume all risks inherent in the use of this facility. o Failure to comply with any of the facility rules is grounds for suspension or expulsion from this facility. Recreational athletic competition should be fun. Everyone involved in sports programs have a duty to assure that their programs impart important life skills and promote the development of good character. Essential elements of character building are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core ethical values: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when all involved consciously enforce these values and are committed to the ideal of pursuing victory with honor.. Athletes Code Integrity -Live up to high ideals of ethics and sportsmanship and always pursue victory with honor. Do what’s right even when it’s unpopular or personally costly. Respect -Treat all people with respect all the time and require the same of the other athletes. Class & Character -Play with class, be a good sport, be gracious in victory and accept defeat with dignity, give fallen opponents help, compliment extraordinary performance, show sincere respect in pre- and post-game rituals. Consistently exhibit good character and conduct myself as a positive role model. Always remember, participation in sports is a privilege, not a right and that I am expected to represent my team, coach, and teammates with honor, on and off the rink. Disrespectful Conduct -Don’t engage in disrespectful conduct of any sort including profanity, obscene gestures, offensive remarks of a sexual or racial nature, trash-talking, taunting, boastful celebrations, or other actions that demean individuals of the sport. Respect for Officials -Treat officials with respect; don’t complain about or argue with official calls or decisions during or after a game, never use any profanity towards a referee. Self-Control -Don’t fight or show excessive displays of anger or frustration; have the strength to overcome the temptation to retaliate, never intentionally injure any player or engage in reckless behavior that might cause injury to myself or others. Integrity of the Game -Protect the integrity of the game; Play the game according to the rules, live up to high standards of fair play, honor the spirit and the letter of rules, avoid temptations to gain competitive advantages through improper gamesmanship techniques.
