All entrants must be members of the Iowa State USBC WBA for the current season.
The tournament rules shall be governed by the USBC General Playing Rules and Certified Tournament rules, with the exception of
rules 300b, 300c (this rule will not apply with the exception of item 2, Associate Membership), 301a-e, 302a-d, 309b-c, 310a-b, 313,
315a-d, 317a-d, 318a-c, 319a-f, 323a-c, and 324a-b, which are hereby waived.
The tournament shall consist of a 4-woman Team event and a 5-woman Team event, a Doubles event, a Singles event (a bowler must
bowl in both the Doubles and Singles event), an optional All Events, an optional scratch Singles Event and an optional scratch All
Events. Once scheduled, a 5-woman Team entry cannot change to the 4-woman Team event, or vice versa. Entrants who have paid
the fees for the regular handicap Singles and All Events may enter the optional Scratch Singles and/or the Scratch All Events. All
optional entries must accompany the entry form and are non-refundable. An entrant may pay in advance the handicap All Events and
scratch All Events with the anticipation of bowling in all 3 events and being eligible for the All Events prize fund.
Multiple participation will be allowed in the Team event only. At least two (2) members of a 4-woman team, and (three) 3 members of a
5-woman team of the Team’s lineup must be different on each entry. The first Team score will be the score used for All Events,
handicap or optional scratch. Bowlers entering Doubles must enter Singles; bowlers entering Singles must enter Doubles.
Late entries may be accepted subject to lane availability and at the discretion of the Tournament Director.
No entry fees will be refunded after fifteen (15) days from the closing date or fifteen (15) days from the date of confirmation.
Rescheduling of any event may be made at the discretion of the Tournament Director. Refunds for overpayment of fees will not be
issued for less than $5.00.
All references to averages shall apply to averages established in any USBC certified leagues and associations in the following order
unless Iowa State USBC WBA specified:
(a)
Entrants must use their highest average of not less than twenty-one (21) games in any league (including summer) at the end
of the previous season.
(b)
If a bowler does not have an established average of twenty-one (21) games or more from the previous season, she shall use
her highest average of twenty-one (21) games or more as of January 1 of the current season.
(c)
If a bowler does not meet either of the above average requirements, she may bowl with an established average of twelve (12)
games or more as of the date of participation. (Verification from the local association will be required.)
(d)
If a bowler does not meet any of the above average requirements, she may enter the tournament with a 220 average.
The annual Iowa State USBC WBA Championship Tournament will be handicapped at 100% of 220 base, and will be divided into
divisions as follows:

There will be no line-up changes at the time of participation. If the 5th member from a team is entered with another team, enter both
names on one entry form and submit entries in one envelope.
If tournament officials are requested to secure a substitute, that substitute will not be required to reimburse the original entrant and will
be eligible for any prize money or awards earned by her. When the Team secures its own substitute, they shall make their own
arrangements for repayment of entry fee and prize distribution.
State association championship awards designating division shall be awarded to the Team, Doubles, Singles (handicap and optional
scratch) and All Events (handicap and optional scratch) champions.
A $25.00 cash award will be given to the individual(s) who bowls the highest scratch game and scratch series in the tournament
regardless of division or event. A $10.00 cash award will be given to the bowler(s) who bowl the highest scratch game and sc ratch
series in each division. You can only win the game/series award once. These costs will come out of the prize fund.
The Division 1 Scratch All Events champion, champions in the case of a tie, co-champions will be declared, and she (they) will be given
a paid entry into the USBC Queens or Senior Queens Tournament, upon participation, for the ensuing year. If either does not wish to
enter, or has not responded by February 1, the entry shall be offered to the runner-up only. The entrant must meet Queen’s average
eligibility requirement or the Senior Queens age requirement.
All entrants must report to the tournament check-in office one (1) hour before the scheduled time to bowl. Late substitutions must be
made at the tournament lanes at least ninety (90) minutes prior to bowling.
Each tournament participant must provide and use her own ball for competition whether personally owned or a house ball.
Bowlers must remain in the bowlers’ area during each event. If abuse occurs which slows the bowling or causes objections by other
entrants, the offending bowler may be disqualified.
Misconduct, offensive behavior or inappropriate attire will not be permitted. An offending entrant (or entrants) may be prevented from
beginning or continuing to bowl. She shall forfeit those games and shall be dismissed from the bowling establishment. The decision of
the Tournament Director, President, any Board member, or the Tournament Director’s assistants shall be final in these matters.
The entrants whose names appear hereon, or their authorized replacements, hereby agree that the Iowa State USBC Women’s Bowling Association, Inc., its
officers and agents, shall be liable to the extent of returning entry fees if and when these entrants shall be prevented from bowling any event in the tournament
through the delay, unexpected yet necessary schedule changes, or premature termination of the tournament which may be brought about by war, national
emergency or emergencies of causes relating thereto or resulting there from, fires, strikes, lockouts, labor difficulties, or other causes beyond the control of the
