UPDATE FROM JO-GI GALLERY - MAY 9, 2015
The entire Jo-Gi Gallery fine art collection housed in the 1927 Eagle Eye Building on 5th Avenue South,
Naples, Florida was contaminated by smoke and water due to the fire in the building on February 20,
2015. Most of the works were damaged to the point of disposal as the cost would be prohibitive to
restore the over one hundred works with no guarantee of the outcome. A leading Chicago
conservationist/restorer of fine art is in the process of working on several of the more valuable works to
remove the smoke odor and water stains to the canvases and paper works. Joanne Giunta, commonly
referred to as "Jo-Gi, the owner of the collection, is confident that everything possible is being done to
bring those several works back to a state that will allow them to be kept in her personal collection
and/or sold to a few of her customers.
Due to the fact that the collection consisted of original paintings and limited edition lithographs they
are not replaceable. Some works in the collection were purchased fifteen or more years ago and to find
similar works at the price that Jo-Gi paid years ago would be impossible. So, Jo-Gi will move forward
with optimism and by finding new ways to be involved in the world of fine art.
As for now, Jo-Gi's focus will be directed toward her "on-line" gallery where she will offer works that
have been successfully restored from the original Jo-Gi Collection and begin to offer some new original
paintings and limited edition lithographs belonging to artists from France, such as RODY, who continue
to engage Jo-Gi's representation through the new Jo-Gi Fine Art website and at select fine art shows/
exhibitions. Further, RODY is available for commissioned work for your home and/or business. Please
