Who it’s for:
Anyone with an interest in WHS can study the Advanced Diploma in
Work Health and Safety. This course is well suited to WHS Managers,
Superintendents and Advisors, Supervisors.

Duration:
This qualification builds on existing skills and knowledge gained from the
Diploma of Work Health and Safety (WHS) or gained by exposure to
WHS in your job. This course covers areas of WHS Management such as
5 Days Classroom Delivery from 8:00am until 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
There is also the option to study Online.

Delivery Locations:
Courses Outside WA:
Perth Courses Location: Our Perth based courses are generally held in
Northbridge in Perth City Centre. The training venue is easy to access
from the freeway with car parking available and is only a short walk
from Perth Train Station.
We aim to ensure that all courses are held in convenient locations, and
that all venues have car parking available and are within easy reach of
public transport. Venues are booked once the number of learners has
been confirmed and you will be notified of the venue details by email
no later than 5 days prior to the course commencement date.
Private Courses:
If your organisation is booking a course for more than 6 people we can
arrange to deliver a private course at your premises. Contact us for
more information.
Entry Requirements (General)
You must be able to use Microsoft Word, read, write and speak English
proficiently. Face to face course are intensive and an intermediate level
of computer literacy is required. It is also recommended, but not
mandatory, that learners complete as much of the assessment
workbook as possible in advance of the course. For intensive courses,
learners must also own or be able to access a reliable laptop computer /
notebook for use over the entire duration of the intensive course.
Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Reader must already be installed.
Apple Mac users must ensure they have Microsoft Office for Mac.
Learners must bring photo identification on the first day of the course.
Typical requirements are either a Drivers’ License or Passport.

Entry Requirements (Advanced Diploma WHS)
It is a regulatory requirement that all learners enrolling on the
Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB60615) have
completed or are willing to complete the entry requirements as
detailed in the Business Services Training Package BSB07.
Entry Requirements Options:
1. You have already completed Diploma Work Health & Safety
(BSB51315). You will need to email certified copies of your
qualification certificate and statement of attainment to
contact@jumbosafetytraining.com.au at the time of
enrolment.
2. You have already completed the entry requirements, 5 core
units of Diploma of Work Health and Safety BSB51315 and or
equivalent competencies from BSB51307 Diploma OHS. You
will need to email certified copies of your statements of
attainment to contact@jumbosafetytraining.com.au at the
time of enrolment.
3. You have not completed either option 1 or 2. You will need to
complete the Advanced Diploma WHS Entry Requirements
Assessment Workbook provided by Jumbo Safety & Training
containing the 5 core units of Diploma of Work Health and
Safety BSB51315.

throughout the 12 month enrolment period.

Once received, Assessment Workbooks will be assessed and graded as
‘Competent’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’. In the case of being graded as ‘Not
Yet Competent’ learners will be provided with written feedback and be
required to resubmit their workbook within the 12 month enrolment
period. Several opportunities for re- assessment are provided to assist a
learner to gain a grade of ‘Competent’. Course assessment includes
written tests and activities and a telephone interview with an Assessor
at the end of your course. Jumbo Safety & Training provides appropriate
learning support to all learners through its training and assessment
delivery, applying reasonable adjustment to training and assessment
where learning difficulties are experienced by the learner. Please
discuss any learning difficulties you may have with Jumbo Safety &
Training at the time of enrolment.

Learner Resources
You will be provided with all of the required information and resources
to complete this course in the form of the course Learner Guide,
Learner Resource File and Assessment Workbook.
This information is provided free of charge to enrolled learners.
Electronic versions will be emailed to the email address given at the
time of enrolment no more than two weeks prior to commencement of
an intensive course and within 1 to 2 hour of receipt of payment and
enrolment information for online courses within our normal business
hours (8am to 6pm). Please note that we do not supply hard copies of
learner resources. You may print copies for the purpose of your study if
you wish.
Credit transfers apply where you have completed one of the constituent
units of the Advanced Diploma WHS with a nationally accredited RTO.
Credit transfers must be like for like, i.e. the unit codes must match
exactly between the previously completed unit and the unit for which
you are requesting credit for.
Pathways From The Qualification
After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake further
qualifications in the field of WHS.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer
RPL is offered to all learners who request it. RPL is a form of assessment
that acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through previous formal
training conducted by industry or education, work experience and or
life experience. The main principle of RPL focusses on the outcomes of
learning rather than when or where the learning occurred. If you
believe that this may apply to you for any part of the course, then you
should request an application kit during the enrolment process. RPL is
available on request at the full face to face course fee.


Extensions to enrolment must be arranged before the 12 month
enrolment period has expired and are chargeable at $200 per
month. If the 12 month enrolment period has expired and
extensions are not arranged prior to this, students are required
to re-enrol at the full course fee applicable at that time.
Re-issue of certificates / Statements of attainment. $50.
