1. How many of your kids have attended Longmont Estates?
All six of our children have attended Longmont Estates.
2. How many years have you volunteered at Longmont Estates?
I think I've always done some type of volunteer work when my kids were in
school. I'm guessing 15-20 years altogether.
3. What are some of the volunteering "jobs" you've had?
I mostly help in the classrooms grading papers or making copies for the
teachers or sometimes working one on one with children. One year I re-
shelved books in the library. This year I had a great time helping with the joga-thon!
4. What do you like most about volunteering?
I really like getting to know the kids better.
5. What is your personal motto?
Do your best.
6. Your Favorite movie?
One of my favorite movies is Parenthood.
TV show?
Right now I'm enjoying a sitcom called The New Normal.
7. What are you reading right now?
I like to read books that I can recommend to my kids and discuss with them.
Right now I'm reading Racing in the Rain (My Life as a Dog) and a series of
books by Scott Westerfeld-Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras.
8. What talent would you most like to have?
I would like to play an instrument well enough to be in an orchestra or band.
9. What superhero talent would you most like to have?
Lightening fast speed.
10. Favorite character from children's literature?
I always liked Olivia from the Olivia books. Clementine made me laugh too.
11. What is your favorite meal? (to eat, that is, not cook)
My husband makes wonderful shrimp etouffee.
12. Your favorite holiday?
I really like getting to be the center of attention on Mother's Day!
12. What animal are you most like?
Although I'm not a very good swimmer I feel I'm most like a fish. I love the water!
Anything else you'd like to share?
I have always enjoyed all of the volunteer opportunities at Longmont
Estates. Everybody is so friendly and extremely appreciative!!
