WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
Every March, the country celebrates the
accomplishments of women in American
History. Even though these
accomplishments go back a long way, most
schools didn't start focusing on women
pioneers and their achievements until
recently. Today, most high schools and
colleges offer classes in women's history
and most schools teach kids about the
many contributions women have made to
our country.
AN IRISH BLESSING FOR YOU:
Wishing you a rainbow,
For sunlight after showersMiles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hoursShamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends
that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Please continue to send in Box Tops to
support the Science Program!!!
FUTURE DATES TO REMEMBER:
March 16th-27th: PARCC Testing
March 11th: Market Day Orders Due
DID YOU KNOW…?
Reading aloud to children every day puts them
almost a year ahead of children who do not receive
daily read-alouds regardless of parental income,
education level or cultural background.
IRISH-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
March is the month of the Irish! St. Patrick’s Day is
celebrated on March 17th. Many people, Irish and
non-Irish, celebrate by attending parades and
wearing the color green. The shamrock is a symbol
of luck.
