Romans 12:2 Bartlett Hills Prayer Ministry Join our church family as we meet to pray for our services, our nation, the sick, etc. Contact Leslie for more information. Sunday 11 AM - rm.109 Monday10 AM - Library Wednesday 5:30 PM - Library Our Patriotic Service . . . was successful in bringing us back together. Right now we are meeting four times a year in one combined service. We had a great crowd on Sunday and the spirit was amazing. I appreciate all the work that Stephen put into the service as well as all who gave leadership. We had two young people come for baptism at the end of the service which made for a great celebration. I hope you were blessed as much as I was on Sunday. Our World Changer Projects last week . . . had us working in West Memphis and Gallup, New Mexico. Nick was the Project Coordinator in West Memphis and I was the PC in Gallup. I took a small group with me and Nick had a strong group of students and workers who were with him. Homes were rehabbed and the gospel was shared in both locations. I believe Nick’s group got the worst of the heat. Both weeks were a blessing to both home owners and the students. Thank you for supporting our mission work. Thank you for allowing your staff to give leadership in these kinds of projects. School Supply Collection The WMU group is now collecting school supplies for Brinkley Heights to distribute to underprivileged children in the immediate community. Boxes are located around the church and collection will run through Sunday, August 2. Reed Brothers in Concert Coffee and Pie Fellowship- July 26 Golden Circle- July 28 The Golden Circle will meet at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Be praying . . . for our Camp ministries coming in July. Both our Youth Camp and our Kid’s Kamp will be held in July. These camps are so critical in the lives of our students and children. I am looking forward to being at both camps this summer. I missed them both last summer due to my ankle surgery. While Kimberlie Herron is serving as our interim Minister to Children, she will be organizing our Kid’s Kamp. We are blessed to have strong and capable leaders in our Youth and Children’s Ministries. MDO & Preschool Registration Don’t forget . . . about our new Wednesday night reservation set up. As of July 1, you must have a reservation to eat at the regularly scheduled time. You may have to wait until those with reservations get fed. Also, if you are on the “standing weekly list” and you don’t show up and you don’t cancel, you will be expected to pay for the meal. We are trying to be better stewards with the Wednesday night meal costs. We also want to try and enhance the meals with less wasted spending. You can call in by 9:00 am on the Wednesday before the meal to make any changes. God’s vision and will for our church? The staff is meeting and we are asking God to give us a clear picture of what He wants for our church. Are we accomplishing His purpose for us in Bartlett? Are we being successful in sharing Jesus? How can we better reach our community for the Kingdom? I am excited about what God is doing in our midst. We want to be constantly pursuing His plan for our church. Pray that our hearts will reflect His heart! This will bring two big changes: 1) If you are on the “standing list” and you do not come to eat, you will still be expected to pay for that meal. You can cancel your reservation any time before 9:00 AM on Wednesday morning and you will not be expected to pay. If you want to be on the “standing list”, contact Karyn. 2) If you are not on the “standing list”, you may be asked to wait until 5:40 PM to eat to be sure all those with reservations get served. You can call before 9:00 AM on Wednesday and make your reservation to eat with us and you can come at 5:00 PM. Steve will always prepare enough extra for any guests that may come to eat first time. “Why are we doing this?” you may ask. We are wasting a lot of food in our current approach. We can be better stewards of our money and upgrade our meals if we use the “reservation” approach. Begins August 26th at 5:45 PM Beach Week 2015 July 13-17 Panama City, FL All Youth Summer Camp is scheduled for Gulfside Beach in Panama City!
