Check your Account Statement in MUGSI (My Student Accounts and Cashiers / Account Statement) for any balance SOLAR Registration and the PA open. Please refer to the “Getting Registered” website for more information. http://registrar.mcmaster.ca/registered/getregistered.html While we recommend that you confirm your PA immediately after selecting your courses on SOLAR, if you are expecting OSAP, scholarships or bursaries, we encourage you to go back to reconfirm your PA as these amounts become available. Revisions can be made up to May 6th, 2011. PAYMENT DEADLINE! All payments as outlined on your last confirmed PA are due May 1st payment deadline is extended only for monies coming from OSAP A $50.00 Late PA Fee will be charged if students complete the PA after this date Fees for courses added after this date will be due upon registration First day of terms 1 and 3 classes Last day for dropping (please see definitions below) Term 1 or 3 courses without incurring financial penalty. The Payment Agreement helps you get fully registered and tells us how you intend to pay. Be sure to scroll down the Payment Agreement and read through all of the Payment Schedule, Messages and Terms & Conditions. Note: The PA is a registration tool used only during the registration period. It will calculate and display fees based on program and # of registered units. The PA will NOT show payments made, or student account balances. For account details and balances go to your Account Statement through MUGSI. Your Account Statement is an ongoing record of all financial activity. You can access your Account Statement by logging into MUGSI (My Student Accounts and Cashiers / Account Statement). We encourage you to try the “Ask McMaster” button located at http://registrar.mcmaster.ca/registered/ for all your financial questions. SUMMER PAYMENT OPTIONS All payments as outlined on your last confirmed PA are due no later than May 1st Starting May 31, for any unpaid balance due , interest is charged at an annual rate of 14.4% (1.2% per month) subject to change. A full month’s interest is calculated on any unpaid balance on the last day of each month. Term 1 only students Term 2 and 3 students - All balances must be paid in full by the last day of classes (June 17th) All balances must be paid in full by the last day of classes (August 5th) to avoid a $35 Late Payment Fee. May 2 – June 17 Second OSAP release – (for students registered in an OSAP eligible course load in Term 2 and 3) June 20 – August 5 Remember you MUST go in person to negotiate all funding certificates before any money can be released. It’s recommended to go early to avoid late payment fees. Dropped courses are removed from your student record, and although are NOT subject to cancellation fees, may have financial consequences (i.e. Reduce OSAP entitlement, loss of Entrance Scholarship, MSU Supplementary Fees) CANCELLED COURSES – Any course cancelled AFTER the last day to add courses (Drop & Add) within a term. Cancelled courses remain on your student record and are indicated as “cancelled”. Cancelled courses are subject to cancellation fees, and may have other financial consequences (i.e. Reduced OSAP entitlement, loss of Entrance Scholarship or MSU Supplementary Fees). CONGRATULATIONS to all our GRADUANDS! As a potential graduand in the spring, don’t forget to review your Account Statement on MUGSI (MUGSI / My Student Accounts and Cashiers / Account Statement and make any payment no later than April 15, 2011 to avoid any complications with receiving your diploma. FALL REGISTRATION Familiarize yourself with the Office of the Registrar’s Website and their dates and deadlines, particularly when it comes to SOLAR open and close dates. http://registrar.mcmaster.ca/registered/getregistered.html Keep in mind that your account must be paid in full before you will be allowed to register for the next session.
