future endeavors! We will miss you! Our 87 Commencement Ceremony is tonight, Friday, June 5 held in the HS
Theatre at 7:00 PM.
Attention SF Students, Staff, Parents and Families: If you have someone interested that is unable to attend the
graduation ceremony in person, we will be streaming the event via the web. Please see the link below to access the
site. You do need to register prior to the event and directions are provided on the cube site.

Attention All Students regarding Summer Work: Any students scheduled to take honors or AP classes next year,
please remember to pick up your Summer Work at the Main Office or contact your teacher.

Attention All Students: Eaton Prep is offering a summer prep session for the SAT. The first class will be on June
20, 2015. For more information, contact Christine Hessler at: chrishessler@eatonprp.com or 412-831-2723.
Information is also available in the Guidance Office.

Senior Obligation Announcement: All senior obligations must be paid by 11:00 AM this Friday, June 5 before
Commencements. You will not receive your diploma if these obligations are not paid.
Underclassmen Obligation Announcement: All underclassmen obligations must be paid by this Fri., June 5th.

Report cards will be mailed June 16 . If obligations are not settled before Friday, a letter outlining the obligation(s)
th
will be sent home on June 16 instead of the report card. Once the obligation(s) are fulfilled, a report card will be
released.
Attention All Students: The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Bioengineering is holding their annual
Bioengineering Summer Camp. Two sessions are available for high school students: July 13-17 and July 20-24. The
cost is $300.00 which covers single use experimental materials, meals, and prizes. To register, go to:

Congratulations to the STEM Team! Congratulations Mr. Garlick and our student team, Brennan McCann, Jackie
Witwicki, Cara Price, Eishan Ashwat, and Brooke Ley for taking 1st place in the entire state in the PA Governor’s
STEM State Competition held on May 29th! The students designed an innovative walker to aid in the user's mobility
and presented at the competition at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. Students first competed regionally,
and were the representatives selected from the Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 area. Good job team!

Attention All Students: Duquesne Fest will be on Sunday, June 14 beginning at 8:00 AM. Duquesne Fest provides
a fun and informative day where Fall 2015 high school seniors and their families can speak with representatives from
admissions and financial aid, as well as from other academic, administrative and student life departments. During the
day, there will be many opportunities to learn about college admission procedures, classes, majors and career

Attention All Students: Huntington Learning Center is offering summer exam preparation for the SAT and Act.

Attention All Students: Throwing away your backpack this year? Instead, please consider donating it to the
Pittsburgh homeless. Bring your used backpack and drop it off in the box located in main lobby. Your donation is
greatly appreciated and will be well used!

Attention Students interested in playing on a Fall SF Athletic Team: Official signups started Thur., May 7 and
th
will end Fri., June 5 . Interested players must sign up and pick up a packet at the Athletic Office. This packet contains
vital information concerning all aspects for the fall sport season including physicals. The packets must be completed in
th
full and returned to Mrs. Demnyan in the Athletic Office by Wed., Aug. 12 by noon. The school will not provide
physicals for the 2015-2106 season. All physicals must be dated on or after June 1, 2015. The Fall Sport season
th

begins Mon., Aug. 17 except for varsity football which will begin on Mon., Aug. 10 for mandated heat acclimation
practice. There will be no extensions. You must have all paperwork turned in and be at the first official day of practice.

Attention All Students: Are you looking for a summer internship? Are you interested in computer science or
education? You can apply for a summer internship as part of the Opportunity Education Foundation. These
experiences can look like great on your college applications.
The internship is from July 13th to July 31st, and is located in Regent Square. Anyone can apply, freshmen all the way
up to seniors. Students chosen earn a $1000 stipend for participating and any interested student should see Mrs. Scott
for details on how to apply.
