SCHOOL FEES
All school fees were due on the first day of school.
Letters for students still owing fees have been sent out in
January and March. Please ensure that you have
addressed this issue or are taking care of this as soon as
possible. Elementary school fees are $65 and middle
school fees are $100. Fees can be paid at the office by
cheque (payable to RDCRD), cash, debit or credit!

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TIDBITS – APRIL 2015
Where We Have Been:
Report card collaboration with grade teams: Report cards were sent home March 20, 2015.
Division Wide Faith Day: Our day started with Mass led by Archbishop Smith. Several speakers were brought in to
talk to the Division Staff about the different paths their faiths have taken.
Technology Lesson Creation: As teachers, we are required to maintain and further develop our understanding and
use of technology in the classroom. We used one Monday PD session to work on technology lessons with our
Tech Coach on-site for assistance.

FRIENDSHIP MEAL A GREAT SUCCESS
The Camille sponsored Friendship Meal at the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, March 15th was a wonderful success! We
served 84 guests. Many of these guests left, quite happily, with full take-out containers for another meal that day.

school year. This involves many steps and actions. Input and direction will be sought
from staff, parents, our district and Alberta Learning to develop our plan. Some of the
plans will be tentative and could change depending on enrollment, program and staff
adjustments that sometimes occur late in the year. The following information will help
us in starting this process.

ESSO CUP
Red Deer is hosting the Esso Cup, the National Female Midget Championships on April 19-25. This tournament brings
together five regional champions from across the country and a host team to compete for Canada`s National Female Midget
Championship, another step in the development of women`s hockey in Canada. The organizing committee is needing
volunteers to fill a variety of roles. Come be part of the fun and cheer on the girls! These volunteer positions are open to
people of all ages.
MAGnificent SATURDAYS
Do you have an eye for color or maybe ideas on how to use everyday materials in a creative way? How about helping others
use their imagination to make art? The Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery is looking for volunteers to tap into their creative
side and be a part of engaging families in the community and helping them create art together! Become a part of their
MAGnificent Saturdays program as an Artist Assistant.
 Not only will you get to work with a professional artist but you get to be creative!
 No art experience required.
 Shift will be from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm on select Saturdays (you choose)
 Age: 16+
