MNI China Auto Purchase Sentiment
Unparalleled Insight into the World’s Largest Car Market
The MNI China Auto Purchase Sentiment Survey
offers unique insight into the sentiment and behaviour
of consumers in the world’s largest car market. Based
on a monthly survey of Chinese consumers, we
produce data with a high correlation to official car
sales figures and illuminate trends in the sector.
Each month, a broad range of at least 1,000
respondents throughout China are asked their views
on a variety of questions. The survey provides direct
access into the minds of Chinese car buyers examining
their attitudes and plans towards car purchase, their
budget and trends in ownership. Example questions
include:
Our in-depth analysis allows auto-makers, investors,
economists, and corporates to identify economic
trends and to make informed investment and business
decisions. The survey’s ability to track and forecast
trends in households’ views on the car market makes
it an indispensable dataset for anyone looking at the
Chinese car sector.
MNI Indicators makes its data available to customers
shortly after the end of the survey period and it comes
out before official government data, thus giving our
customers an exclusive and timely insight into the
auto industry in China as viewed by consumers.
