The DC Metro Chapter of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College will host the 6th Annual Loving Me Girls
Conference on March 21, 2015.
This free, one day conference will empower young ladies to overcome challenges and reach greater success in the future.
The event will inspire young ladies in grades 8th through 11th to dream big, plan wisely, think confidently, and love
themselves unconditionally.
The theme for this year's conference is #BOSS: Building Opportunities for Sisters to Succeed.
(Continental breakfast and lunch will be served).

I give my consent and permission for the attendee listed on this form to
attend the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College Washington DC Metro's Loving Me Girls Conference (hereinafter the
"Conference").
I hereby release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the
NAASC & the DC Metro Chapter and any of their agents and
representatives from and against any and all present and future claims that
may be made by me, all members of my family, estate, executor, heirs on
account of loss or damage to property, personal injury, or wrongful death
that may occur as a result of or in connection with my minor child's
participation in the Conference.
I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT THE RELEASEES ARE
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE
ARISING OUT OF MY MINOR CHILD'S PARTICIPANT IN THE
CONFERENCE.
I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and
inclusive as permitted by law and agree that if any portion of this
agreement is deemed invalid, the remainder will continue in full force and
effect.

color is GREEN. Alice Walker's color is ORANGE. Oprah Winfrey's color is GOLD.
Beyonce's color is BLUE. These women have all created a path by LEANING IN. What is
your lean in color? Come and see how your color can help you lean in!
Passport to the World - Explore what it means to be a global citizen and leader in today's
world. You will have the opportunity to speak and learn about what it really means to rule
the world!
From Baggage to Briefcase - Understand how your past does not control your future. You
will learn the importance of leaving behind dead weight, unifying with other women, and
progressing forward for the better.
How Are You Using Social Media? - You will identify ways to use social media to
enhance positive relationships, communication skills, and decision-making skills. Proper
use of social media can enhance positive relationships with others and create opportunities
for success.
Picture Me: Finding Power in My Pain and Triumph in My Tears - Through art and
testimony you will have an opportunity to explore your self-concept as well an opportunity
to distinguish between ideas of identity, mood, and circumstance. Through discussion,
reflection, and artistic creations, you will walk away from this session with a visual display
of your story and/or self-concept.
Goals, Dreams and the Stuff in Between - Learn to establish some concrete methods that
are required to achieve your goals. You will receive valuable long-term life skill tools that
will help you develop plans to turn dreams into goals and ultimately bring your goals to
reality.
