Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres JOB POSTING Ecommerce Merchandising and Sales - Kitigan The OFIFC is an award winning leader in culture-based management providing innovative research, policy, training and community development to 28 Friendship Centres and other urban Aboriginal service providers across Ontario. Responsibilities: Working as part of a small team in a fast paced environment where you are the customer-facing lead responsible for operating key aspects of Kitigan, an ecommerce social enterprise, through inventory management, curating merchandising, website analytics and customer service. This includes development and implementation of strategies, goals and tactics that support day-to-day operations and growth of Kitigan. Qualifications: Awareness of Aboriginal culture; Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field combined with 1 year experience in ecommerce, content curating and direct sales and working in a social enterprise; Education in Information Technology or Fine Arts considered an asset; Minimum 1 year experience in website maintenance and management; Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service; Demonstrated knowledge of small business administration; Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal/Indigenous art, particularly from Ontario; Solid understanding of HTML and basic CSS, graphic design, copywriting, ecommerce platforms; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders; Knowledge of software applications – Microsoft Office; Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision; and Criminal Reference Clearance (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Clearance are requirements of the employment offer.
