Sales Manager - Stavanger On behalf of Damen Norway AS, OG-S are looking for a Sales Manager / Senior Sales Engineer to take control of their sales activities within a brand new business unit in addition to some sales activities within the oil and gas sector. This is a unique position working for a large company but who are still a small size here in Norway. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to be an integral part of their planned growth in Norway. Role: Sales Manager Location: Stavanger City Centre Type: Permanent Start Date: August 2015 or earlier Overall, this is a great opportunity for someone who are motivated by being able to build up new divisions and who is hungry to make a success of himself / herself and the company. You will have a great opportunity to contribute and will be an integral part of Damen`s growth in Norway. Areas of responsibility: The achievement of sales in Norway in relation to the total Damen products and services; activities to include: Visiting customers and prospective customers Taking control of marketing activities (trade fairs, congresses) Identifying market opportunities Assessing product and financial opportunities. Consulting with the DAMEN product groups as necessary, establishing the market level for prices and profit margins, and the drawing up and issuing of quotations Finalizing sales agreements; including negotiations with customers about prices, product specifications, delivery and payment terms, the drawing up and conclusion of contracts and conditions, providing advice about financing possibilities, and sharing this knowledge with the internal organization Monitoring the handling of new build orders; organizing and drawing up the schedules of work/action lists and contract specifications, discussing these documents with the designated project managers, monitoring the product progress and the timely identification of any abnormalities, accompanying customers during visits to our local or foreign shipyards, and organizing or attending the launch and formal handover of ships Dealing with problems and claims from customers; handling payment issues with customers, preparing payment options and informing/consulting with the Area Director, the Customer Finance department and Accounts Receivable, and assessing the validity of claims, etc. Maintaining and expanding the relationships with customers and other relevant contacts in the industry Report market information about the industry to the Area Director T: +47 40 43 54 92 E: vb@ogsnorway.com W: www.ogsnorway.com Candidate profile You have open communication skills with a strong convincing personality, you have a problem solving mentality and are customer and service orientated You are open and direct, enthusiastic, meticulous, and a genuine team player who is also able to work independently You have the ability to communicate at all levels You are proactive, hands on and energetic You have good technical knowledge of vessels within the maritime and offshore industry You have a high sense of commercial awareness You are a great negotiator with the ability to close deals Your English and Norwegian language, verbally and written, is highly proficient.
