Father’s Day Blood Drive
The temperatures have finally started to
rise, and matzoh is but a memory for
now. Mothers have been celebrated,
and Shavu'ot will be over in May. What
shall we do with June? Bleed our fathers dry, I say! No, not with camp/
tuition bills, but by participating in the
Fathers Day blood drive on Sunday,
June 21. Sure, it's not like going to a ball
game or a barbecue, but you get to relax and lie down while giving, and there
are snacks. Bring dad, and we'll try to
arrange simultaneous donations. Now
that's a fulfilling way to spend part of
the day! The blood drive will be held at
Congregation Ahavas Achim, 216 S. First
Ave. in Highland Park. Babysitting is
available. For more information, please
contact Ira Rosen at 732-393-1018 or
ira_rosen@yahoo.com. You can also
call my dad if you'd like - he'll completely endorse this endeavor - he
gives blood more than anyone I know.
June 11th. Ma’ayanot is located at 1650
Palisade Avenue, Teaneck. For information please contact Pam Ennis at 201
-833-4307, ext. 265. All are welcome.
