Welcome to
Jason Craft!
The end of February, 31 eighth grade
confirmation students and 10 chaperones
took our annual tour of the Temple of
Aaron Synagogue. While at the Temple
we learned about Jewish heritage and
holiday’s, we were able to see a Torah and
participate in a worship service (which is
done in mostly Hebrew.) After the service
they invited us to refreshments and fellowship.
Family Lenten Prayer Practices
During the church season of Lent, we will
be learning and practicing some different prayer practices. We'll take some time
out of each Sunday service to try a new
practice, and then have an opportunity on
Wednesday nights after worship to take
more time to discuss, learn, and practice
some more. Join us on Sunday mornings
and on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm!
Jason will be introduced and installed
today as our Contemporary Band Leader
at the 9:15 & 10:35
worship services.
Jason will be the keyboardist for the New Creation band and
serving as their band leader. Jason’s goal
in selecting music for the 10:35 service
will be in finding music that engages the
congregation in singing along with the
band. If you are interested in providing
special music at the 10:35 service, Jason
would love to hear from you. He is all
about finding ways to get people involved
in worship! Jason will also be available (at
times) to play the piano as an accompaniment to the organ at the 9:15 service.
Reading the scriptures before
worship
Scrip Gift Cards—ongoing,
year-round fundraiser—available
Next week’s readings are:
Numbers 21:4-9
Ephesians 2:1-10
John 3:14-21
at the Ministry Center on Sundays
or in the church office during
business hours, M-F.
Lenten Worship Series
Join us on another Lenten Journey. On the following Wednesdays at 7:00, worship
with us as we listen to stories presented by some of Jesus’ closest friends, or persons
whose lives he touched. Hear dramatic presentations from the speakers listed below.
The half-hour worship experience will also include portions of the Holden Evening
Prayer service. You will not only be fed spiritually by these Lenten monologues, but
you can be literally fed as well, each Wednesday, 5:00-6:45.

Upcoming small group events…
Dr. Brene Brown book club kick off!
We will begin on Sunday, Aprill 12th with
“The Gifts of Imperfection. Letting Go of
Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be
and Embrace Who You Are. Your Guide to
a Wholehearted Life.” We will be meeting
weekly for 5 weeks in the Youth Center
“living room” which is located in the
basement of Our Saviour’s. Dr. Brown is
a researcher and storyteller—she is funny,
self-deprecating, real, and relatable-www.brenebrown.com Please check out
our website for more details about this
small group study, http://osel.org/smallgroup-studies/. This book club is being
led by Jody who is a great admirer of Dr.
Brown’s work. This is going to be a fantastic and rewarding event that you won’t
want to miss!
Sharing Our Gifts is a new small group
series that will focus on individuals
sharing their creative talents with others. We will begin with learning how to
crochet and knit. Crocheting and knitting
is for all ages and here at OSEL we have
many gifted individuals who are looking forward to helping others make such
trendy items as the boot cuffs, fingerless
mittens, and infinity scarves you see in the
boutiques and on Pinterest! Please stop by
on Wednesday March 25th between 4 pm
and 5:30 pm in the gathering area to learn
more, see samples, and try it for yourself.
This is the first meeting of a series. To find
out more about this event and others, go

Growth and Connection:
Do you ever feel, unfulfilled? Are you
doing what you were meant to do (personally, professionally)? Each of us has
unique talents, personality, passions, and
gifts given to us from God to be used to
fulfill our calling. How can you use your
gifts to get more joy, more meaning, more
happiness? This is different for everyone,
but begins with you wanting to know
more. Don’t know how to get started, or
don’t see it in the current church offerings? Perfect! That’s something to discuss
with Jody. These are some of the many
ways that Jody can help and why she is
here at Our Saviour’s — to help connect
YOU to what fulfills YOU.
