We would like to invite you to attend the 99th annual PCOOS Meeting to be held at the
beautiful Fairmont Orchid Hotel on the Kohala Coast, Big Island, Hawaii June 26-29,
2015. PCOOS strives to be a leading regional meeting for the Western states, with
parallel programs in Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology. We are very excited about the
quality of the educational program. This year’s program offers 21.5 AMA PRA Category
1 Credits™”.

Southern California, Los Angeles. Our featured speakers in Ophthalmology are Timothy
McCulley, MD, Professor, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD and James Huang,
MD, Professor of Ophthalmology and Biomedical Engineering, Oregon Health &
Sciences University, Portland, OR. The Otolaryngology Guest of Honor is Christopher
Holsinger, MD, Professor, Stanford University, Stanford, CA. The featured speaker in
Otolaryngology is Dan Alam, MD, Professor of Otolaryngology, University of Hawaii,
Oahu, and Joshua Schindler, MD, Associate Professor, Oregon Health & Sciences

PCOOS is a family friendly meeting and we hope that your family will join you. Guest
rooms at the Fairmont Orchid are a spacious 520 square feet and great rates have been
negotiated. We have already sold out of 85% of the rooms in our block so we suggest that

The four star Fairmont Orchid boasts luxurious accommodations on an expansive white sand beach and beautifully
landscaped grounds. Rooms are 522 sq ft with lanais and marble baths. It is located 19 miles north of the KailuaKona Airport (KOA) appx 30– 45 minutes by car.
A limited number of rooms are available from 6/23/15-7/3/15
Rates are: $205 Garden/Waterfall View, $225 Partial Ocean View, and $255 Ocean View
Resort Fee is only $10. Amenities include internet, local calls, parking, snorkel clinics, fitness center,
pools, cultural activities for children and adults, bottled water, in-room safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea, 50%
discount on activities package - one time rental fee is good for duration of stay, complimentary on-demand
shuttle throughout the Mauna Lani area and to shopping complex with restaurants, shops, and a
supermarket
Accommodations: Deadline is May 26. Rooms in the PCOOS block will likely sell out prior to the
deadline. Please be considerate of our fellow meeting attendees and help avoid attrition costs by only
