Order of Worship
June 7, 2015
CALL TO WORSHIP
from Psalm 86:8-13
LEADER: There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor
are there any works like yours.
PEOPLE: All the nations you have made shall come and
worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your
name.
LEADER: For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone
are God.
PEOPLE: Teach me your way, O LORD,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name.
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God,
with my whole heart,
and I will glorify your name forever.
For great is your steadfast love toward me.
SONGS OF PRAISE
YOU ARE GOD ALONE
You are not a god created by human hands.
You are not a god dependent on any mortal man.
You are not a god in need of anything we can give.
You are God and that’s the way it is. (repeat)
You are God alone. From before time began,
You were on Your throne, You were God alone.
And right now, in the good times and bad,
You are on Your throne, You are God alone.
continued
2
You’re the only God whose power none can contend.
You’re the only God whose name and praise will never end.
You’re the only God who’s worthy of everything we can give.
You are God and that’s the way it is. (chorus)
Unchangeable. Unshakable.
Unstoppable. That’s who You are. (repeat) (chorus)
EVERLASTING GOD
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord (repeat)
Our God, You reign forever,
Our hope, our Strong Deliverer
You are the everlasting God, The everlasting God
You do not faint, You won’t grow weary
You’re the defender of the weak
You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
To God be the glory great things He has done
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin
And opened the life gate that all may go in
Praise the Lord praise the Lord
Let the earth hear His voice
Praise the Lord praise the Lord
Let the people rejoice
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son
And give Him the glory great things He has done

Within Community
The North Area
Community Groups will
combine for the summer
months on Wednesdays
every other week at 6 pm.
Pray for consistency in
gathering together to study
God’s Word despite varied
summer schedules.
Pray for unity within the
groups, as new families and
members have joined.
Pray for Robert Wood
and Kurt Brewer, their
facilitators.
O perfect redemption the purchase of blood
To every believer the promise of God
The vilest offender who truly believes
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives (chorus)
Great things He has taught us
Great things He has done
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder our transport when Jesus we see (chorus)
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
from Mark 12:28-30
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating.
Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked
him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most
important?”
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O
Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind and with all your strength.’”

GIVE ME JESUS
In the morning when I rise
In the morning when I rise
In the morning when I rise
Give me Jesus
Give me Jesus give me Jesus
You can have all this world
But give me Jesus
And when I am alone
Oh and when I am alone
And when I am alone
Give me Jesus (chorus)
And when I come to die
Oh and when I come to die
And when I come to die
Give me Jesus
Give me Jesus give me Jesus
You can have all this world
You can have all this world
You can have all this world but give me Jesus

Where in the World
Jason & Robyn Strong are
with M2M (the PCA’s
Ministry to the Military).
The Strongs regularly
attend Redeemer, as their
focus is on Joint Base
Charleston. M2M seeks to
help coordinate the Church
to carry out sustained
Gospel work with
intentionality toward
members of the military
community and their
families, delivering the
message of eternal freedom
to those who ensure our
national freedom.
The specific ministry name
here on JB Charleston is
Pathfinders because the
Strongs are attempting to
equip individuals with
God’s Word, enabling
them to minister grace as
they engage, lead, and live
for God’s glory.
Pray for a welcoming
climate as Joint Base
Charleston receives a new
base officer.
Pray for spiritual
resiliency as Jason is tested
and pulled with dusk-todawn demands, meeting
with messy, broken lives.
Pray for their son
Nathan as he attends boot
camp beginning in June.

society as a whole. This event is free of charge. However, seating is limited, so it is important that those who wish to participate register here: theresponsesc.com.
