Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award
(as at: 20 April 2015)
1.
GENERAL
1.1
The use of personal data by future4you GmbH, Mariahilfer Straße 84/4/1 (“future4you”), is
carried out according to the applicable legal provisions and the agreement given by the
applicant to the use of its data.
1.2
Future4you advertises an international sustainability prize (the “SE Award”) annually and
offers businesspeople and entrepreneurs (the “applicants”) the opportunity to submit excellent
projects in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. To this end, businesses create a user
account, fill in an electronic questionnaire and submit supplementary documents electronically.
In addition, there is the possibility in the questionnaire to indicate interest in the fields of the
search for investors, consulting services, and advice on subsidies. In this case, future4you will
provide information about its service offers. With regard to the field of the search for investors,
however, future4you will at the same time provide access to the applicant’s data to the Frankfurt
School Financial Services GmbH with the address Sonnemannstraße 9-11, 60314 Frankfurt am
Main, Germany or Gamma Capital Partner GmbH with the address Schönbrunnerstrasse 218220, 1120 Wien, which can contact the applicant for the purpose of concluding a contract and
have therefore access to submitters-data. If consulting is needed purposed to funding the
applicant’s data is provided to the company Veigl + Veigl, Albertgasse 35, 1080 Wien.
1.3
Future4you is aware of the fact that the protection of the personal data of the applicants is very
important and that it needs to be handled with care. As data protection is of great importance to
future4you, it strictly adheres to the applicable legal provisions in Austria when using this data.
2.
THE USE OF DATA
2.1
Future4you records and saves all and any information which the applicant provides
electronically or in any other way. Future4you then uses the personal data of the applicant
1
insofar as this is legally permitted. Moreover, it does so only with the agreement of the
applicant. Insofar as agreement has been given electronically, SEA will take account of its legal
obligation to provide information and record this agreement by means of suitable technical
systems.
2.2
Alongside the data referred to in Points 5 and 6, SEA uses the following personal details of the
applicant: name, e-mail address, telephone number, sex, date of birth, place of residence and
business address. In addition, the applicant’s IP address is automatically transmitted to
future4you by the applicant's device and saved on future4you’s servers. The IP address is a
unique identification feature of a device and consists of four (4) blocks of figures separated by
dots. The applicant will normally not use an IP address which remains the same (static IP
address), as the address is only allocated temporarily by the provider (a so-called dynamic IP
address). In the case of static IP addresses, however, the unambiguous assignment of data via
this feature is principally possible. Apart from the purpose of the prosecution of inadmissible
access to its services, future4you does not use this data in a person-related way, and only
evaluates it on an anonymised basis for statistical purposes in order to establish, for example,
which pages and hyperlinks are favoured, or how many times they are accessed per day.
3.
PURPOSE OF THE USE OF DATA
The personal data which is provided by the applicant and mentioned in the Points 2.2, 5 and 6 is
used by future4you:
a. in order to establish the winner of the respective award; i.e. in order to assess, categorise
and compare the applicants;
b.
in order to be named in the report on the SE Award and for advertising purposes on the
website of the SE Awards (the "SEA website") or the website of future4you (the
"future4you website");
c. in order to determine from which website the applicant is visiting the SEA website or the
future4you website;
d. and in order to prevent the misuse of the SEA website or the future4you website and to
prosecute unauthorised access.
If the applicant has explicitly indicated interest in the fields of the search for investors,
consulting services and advice on subsidies, the data will be passed on to:
e.
The Frankfurt School Financial Services GmbH, at Sonnemannstraße 9-11, 60314
Frankfurt am Main, Germany, or the Gamma Capital Partner GmbH, Schönbrunner Strasse
218-220, 1120 Wien for the purpose of contacting the applicant, and so that a presentation
2
of the range of services of the Frankfurt School Financial Services which has been adapted
to the applicant can be created.
f. to Veigl + Veigl, Albertgasse 35, 1080 Wien for the purpose of contacting the applicant to
present the range of services Veigl + Veigl has created for the applicant.
4.
DATA SECURITY
4.1
For data security reasons, personal data is protected with a password. The applicant therefore
has to ensure that its password is chosen suitably and that it does not pass it on to third parties.
4.2
Future4you will take appropriate measures to ensure data security.
4.3
If future4you becomes aware of the fact that the data of the applicant is being systematically
and illegally used in such a way that there is a risk of damage to the applicant due to this,
future4you will inform the applicant of this immediately.
4.4
Future4you is entitled to also commission third parties with the processing of data for the
purposes given in Point 3. Such third parties shall not become contractual partners of the
applicant.
5.
COOKIES AND ADVERTISING
5.1
Several areas of the SEA website and the future4you website use cookies; i.e. small text files
which are stored on the applicant's device and in its browser (“Cookies”). Cookies are used by
future4you in order to be able to offer user-friendly, more effective and more secure services,
and in particular to record from which website the applicant is visiting the SEA website or the
future4you website. Cookies also enable future4you to identify which browser is being used and
to transmit certain content to the applicant. Cookies only record data such as that which is listed
in this Point or in Point 2.2.
3
5.2
On the SEA website, the future4you website, and also linked websites, search results and
advertisements from future4you or from third parties can appear which have been specially
customised to the individual interests of the applicant. Individually customised search results
and advertisements are based on information which future4you has received from the activities
of the applicant on the SEA website or the future4you website. Via cookies, future4you finds
out which links and offers the applicant has looked at. In this way, useful and relevant links and
advertisements can be presented to the applicant.
5.3
Future4you has no access to or influence upon cookies and other functions which third parties
use in connection with advertising on the SEA website or the future4you website.
6.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
In order to improve and optimise the SEA website and the future4you website, future4you
intends to use Google Analytics, a network analysis service offered by Google Inc., 1600
Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (referred to hereinafter as "Google").
Google Analytics also uses cookies which make it possible to analyse the use of a website. The
information regarding visits to a website, including the IP address, is collected by the cookie
and usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If a website has activated
website IP anonymisation, Google shortens IP addresses from Member States of the European
Union and EEA states. The full IP address is then only transmitted to the USA in exceptional
cases and only abbreviated when it is received there. Google uses the information collected on
behalf of the website provider in order to analyse the use of the website and in order to provide
additional services to the website provider in relation to the website and the use of the internet.
Under no circumstances does Google link the IP address transmitted by the browser as part of
the Google Analytics process with other Google data. Applicants can prevent the use of cookies
by using the relevant settings in their internet browser program. However, it should be noted
that in this case the full functionality of the website might no longer be available. Apart from
this, the applicant can also prevent Google from recording and processing information related to
the use of services, including the IP address, by downloading and installing the following
browser plug-in: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
7.

By ticking the box during the registration process, the applicant confirms that it has read

4

by future4you for the purposes mentioned in Point 3 a. and d.
7.3
In addition, the applicant explicitly agrees to the use by future4you of the personal data as
listed in Points 2.2, 5 and 6 for the purposes mentioned in Point 3 a. and d.
