Divina Misericordia: Camino a la Paz
Estimados Hermanos y Amigos de San Juan Bautista,
¡Cristo ha resucitado, en verdad ha Resucitado! Las
últimas palabras del Señor Jesús en la cruz fueron: “Todo
está consumado,” sus primeras palabras después de su
resurrección a los que se encontraban reunidos en el
cenáculo fueron “La Paz, esté con ustedes” Lo que Cristo
completó en la cruz fue la nueva y eterna alianza en su
sangre. Esta es la nueva y eterna alianza que Cristo
completó en la cruz, y está íntimamente ligada a Su regalo de
paz para sus aterrorizados discípulos. La muerte de Cristo
reconcilió a la humanidad con el Padre, y el primer fruto de
esa reconciliación es la PAZ. Ahora los discípulos estaban
reconciliados con el Padre, y con ellos mismos. Una vez que
nos hemos reconciliado con Dios, la PAZ es el fruto de esta
nueva relación con el Señor.
San Juan Bautista se regocija en sus nuevos miembros y
afectuosamente los felicita y da la bienvenida a estos nuevos
beneficiarios del regalo de la PAZ de Cristo, quienes
recibieron el Bautismo, la Confirmación y Primera
Comunión en la Vigilia Pascual el sábado pasado. En esta
acogida de nuestros nuevos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
vemos las palabras de los Hechos de los Apóstoles
amplificadas, “La comunidad de creyentes tenía un solo
corazón y mente.”
Nos alegramos también por los 4 niños que en la Vigilia
de Pascual y 2 el Domingo de Pascua recibieron el don de la
Paz de Cristo, al ser unidos con el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu
Santo en las aguas del Bautismo. Felicitaciones a ellos y a
sus familias:

Dear People and Friends of San Juan Bautista,
Christ is Risen; Truly He is Risen! The Lord Jesus’
final words on the cross were “It is finished;” his first words
after his resurrection to those gathered in the upper room
were “Peace be with you.” What Christ completed on the
cross was the new and eternal covenant in his blood. It is
this new and eternal covenant completed on the cross,
which is intimately connected to his gift of peace to the
frightened disciples. Christ’s death reconciled humanity to
the Father, and the first fruit of that reconciliation is
PEACE. Now the disciples were reconciled with the Father,
with each other, and with themselves. Once we have been
reconciled with God, PEACE is the fruit of this renewed
relationship with the Lord.
San Juan Bautista rejoices in its newest members and
affectionately congratulations and welcomes these newest
recipients of the Lord’s gift of PEACE, those who received
Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion at the
Easter Vigil last Saturday. In this reception of our newest
brothers and sisters in Christ, we see the words of the Acts
of the Apostles amplified, “The community of believers was
of one heart and mind.”
We rejoice also in the 4 children who at the Easter Vigil
and the 2 children who on Easter Sunday received Christ’s
gift of Peace as they were united with the Father, and the
Son and the Holy Spirit in the waters of Baptism.

La Divina Misericordia del Señor emana de su costado
traspasado, como lo hizo la sangre y el agua. Es por esta
Divina Misericordia, que el Señor Resucitado nos otorga
abundantemente en los sacramentos la experiencia de la Paz
de Cristo.
Hoy, debido en parte al San Juan Pablo, el Grande, el
segundo domingo de Pascua se observa como el Domingo de
la Divina Misericordia, según lo revelado por el Señor a la
hermana Faustina en Polonia en 1931. Jesús le dijo: Que
ningún alma tenga miedo a acercárseme, aún cuando sus
pecados sean como escarlata. Mi Misericordia es tan
grande que ninguna mente, ni humana ni angelical, será
capaz de comprenderla durante toda la Eternidad.. La
invitación del Señor es para que confiemos y recibamos su
misericordia y su Paz.

The Lord’s Divine Mercy flows from his pierced side,
as the blood and water did. It is from this Divine Mercy,
which the Risen Lord bestows upon us abundantly in the
sacraments, that we experience Christ’s Peace.
Today, in part due to Saint John Paul the Great, the
Second Sunday of Easter is observed as Divine Mercy
Sunday, as revealed by the Lord to Sister Faustina in
Poland in 1931. Jesus spoke to her: Let no soul fear to
draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My
mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel,
will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. The
Lord’s invitation is to trust and receive his Mercy and
Peace.

ART SHOW AND BOOK FAIR: On April 13, in the
school gym from 6-7:30 p.m. featuring more than 500
pieces of student art work. The Book Fair continues

SCHOOL MASS: Join us this week when 6th grade leads
the Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Thursday,
April 9 at 9:30 a.m.
LANCASTER CATHOLIC VISIT: On April 14, 6th, 7th
and 8th grade students will visit Lancaster Catholic High
School to see “Anything Goes.”
PARENTS, join us Thursday, April 16, 6:30 p.m., in the
school gym for “Crossing the Digital Divide: the Cyber
World of Kids for Parents” presented by Deborah McCoy,
Educational Development Services. Sixth, 7th and 8th grade
students have the workshop during the day.
CHURCH MUSIC CONCERT: Save the date of May
15, 7 p.m., for “Rock the Church” when the choirs and
music groups from St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. Anthony and
San Juan Bautista sing to benefit the school. The
performance will be in St. Anthony’s church and it's free
though donations may be offered. Check future bulletins

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA LEARNING CENTER
At San Juan Bautista Pre-School, our mission is to work
closely with parents of children ages 2–5 years old, to provide
the best possible education for their young children. We are
proud to say that we have 30 children attending our Center, and
this has been a blessing to us.
We currently have 1 full-time or part-time spaces
available for children 2-5 years. Our School is open year round
from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM., Monday through Friday. We accept
CCIS and also offer financial assistance. Our program offers
breakfast, lunch and snack! For more information feel free to

Any boy or girl (in grades 4th thru 12th who has received
first communion) who would like to become an altar server is
invited to our first training session on Monday, April 13 at
6:00 PM. Come serve the Lord by serving at the Holy Mass.
Fr. Wolfe is particularly looking to our newly confirmed youth
to help in this ministry.

first annual Purple & Gold Gala on Saturday, April
25, 2015 at Bent Creek Country Club. Mrs. Judith Cook
will be honored as she accepts the first ever Saint John
Paul II Leadership Award. The event will also include live
and silent auctions, an Italian-buffet dinner and cocktails.

Baptismal Preparation – 2 Sessions required
Before an infant or a child under 7 years of age can be
baptized, the parents must attend the Parents’ Class for
Baptism, which is held the 2nd Saturday of each month @
9:00AM. Then, and only then, the parents with the
godparents attend Baptism Preparation Session II on the
4th Sat. of the month @ 9:00AM. Parents must register at
the parish office. April 25th is the next date for Session II.

their order by April 20th. For ages 9-54 @ $33.50; ages 3-8 &
55 and over @ $28.50; ages 70 and over $21.95. Orders may
be placed and paid for in the parish office with Teresa Zapata.
