Having got up and running with your Moodle learning management system, it is often up to a small number of
individuals to take care of both the site administration as well as the course creation and course administration.
Therefore, we offer a combined site administrator and instructor workshop to give you the best of both worlds:

In the site administrator part you will gain insight into the administration of your entire Moodle site
from the front-end, learn how to tweak settings and do user as well as course management.
•
In the instructor part, you will learn how to add and configure Moodle activities, use course completion
to personalise your online course offering to learners and much more.
The content of this workshop will be tailored to your specific needs. Since it is the combination of two workshops
into a one-day workshop, we will work together with you to cover the areas that are most important to you to get
started with Moodle.
Objectives (example, dependent on the finalised session content):

Gain the skills to customise a Moodle homepage to your requirements;
•
Develop a good understanding of the basic/core admin functionality in Moodle;
•
Create user accounts and courses;
•
Gain insight into good practice in using Moodle interactively;
•
Set up activities and resources utilizing Moodle functionality;
•
Explore course completion settings and other course management settings.

The following prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars and exclude GST.
Training characteristics:

All trainings include preparation time;
•
The training session lasts 6-7 hours;
•
Up to 4 hours of follow-up are included;
•
Small group training is guaranteed: Up to 6 participants;
•
Hands-on as much as possible. If the training is not held at a Catalyst training venue, you are
responsible for providing computers to the participants as well as a projector and Internet access to the
training facilitator.
