KIRSTEN FLAGSTAD PERFORMANCES June 5. Kongsberg Eidsvoll verks festivitetslokale. Recitation and recital under direction of the actor Dagmar Fischer. KF played the piano, for one thing Piano Sonata op. 13 (Pathétique) by Ludwig van Beethoven, and she accompanied Fischer in the melodrama Bergliot, text by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, and in The Death of Åse from Peer Gynt, text by Henrik Ibsen, both with music written by Edvard Grieg. KF played interval music. In the last mentioned comedy, which also included songs, she accompanied the singers/actors. KF had also arranged a great deal of the music. Dyremyrskogen Summer Theatre was established 1909 by the cinema owner Ellef Guttormsen, who made it a tradition to give cabarets, shows, revues and comedies. The local revue author was M. B. Landstad, grandson of the great hymn writer. In 1912 the actor Pehr Qværnstrøm from Oslo was engaged as director. He brought with him from Oslo August Schønemann, Emmy Worm-Müller, Gunlaug Lund, Jørgen Fjerdingstad and others. KF’s responsibilities this summer were to be a singer soloist at the concerts, pianist at the concerts, pianist at the theatre and making music arrangement to the different comedies.
