EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
International conflict has been defined as any disagreements and negative psychosociological
interactions leading to physical escalations (incurring loss of lives and destruction of properties)
between two or more countries, regions and territories or that involved participation of at least one
external (i.e. not directly affected by the objects of contention or consequences of the conflict)
country in physical escalations within a country, region or territory. Also in January 2017, the
author developed the Trio-Dimensional Model of International Conflict in which international
conflicts is described in terms of Origin/Cause/Evolution, Contributors/Participants, and Effects of
the conflicts.
The theoretical background for the Model for International Conflicts Reversal and Prevention
(International Conflict Reversal Model) states that all conflicts (local or international) have a
unique and similar pattern of evolution, and this pattern is largely due to poorly managed
psychosociological interactions leading to physical escalations. Hence, the Conflict Reversal and
Prevention Model focus more on eliminating evolutions/causes and contributors of conflicts which
consequentially eradicate the effects of such conflicts using psychosociological principles. This
model also asserts that international conflicts can be effectively managed and solved without much
offensive military assaults (or taking of human’s lives) except for defensive purposes.
The Middle East Crisis have been broadly classified into four major groups, namely;
1. Socio-Political. This involved emergence of non-religious civil groups originally with good
democratic intentions but stirred up and facilitated by external bodies thus escalating into
national socio-political/civil unrest.
2. Rebellion. Group of indigenous people who attempted to influence or oppose decisions and
administration of a government by adopting armed violence methods.
3. Religious. These are crisis that emanated from internal leadership divisions within the
Islamic religion especially between the Shiite and Sunni Muslims.
4. Terrorism. These are dedicated organized independent armed organization of people often
employed as mercenaries (when they are not pursuing their own objectives) in causing
violent conflicts and destructive vendettas such as suicide bombing in regions or territories
of interests.
Among other equally noteworthy countries, some of the countries that have been directly affected
by various crises and conflicts in the Middle East (including some parts of North/East Africa) are;
1. Afghanistan
2. Egypt
3. Iraq
4. Jordan
5. Lebanon
6. Libya

From a careful scientific analysis of the Middle East Crisis and through the application of the TrioDimensional Model to international conflicts, the following critical inferences was drawn;
1. The Middle East crisis predates the birth of Mohammed as it is rooted in the ancient power
struggles among different families that emerge from Ishmael thus forming the ethnic group
of people now known as Arabs. This is the primary cause of most of the Middle East crisis.
2. The secondary cause of the Middle East crisis emerges with the Mohammed’s reformation
of the Arab’s ancient religion to form Islam thus creating a wider spectrum of oppositions
and conflicting ideologies extending the already existing family power struggles prevalent
among the Arabs then. This is technically what led to the creation of what is today known as
Shiite and Sunni Islam which have been classified as the foundation for the incidence of
modern terrorism, unrests and various ethno-religious agitations in the Middle East.
3. Major external contributors to the Middle East Crisis have been technically interested in
controlling the abundance of natural resources available in the less privileged Middle East
nations and this they often aim to achieve by attempting to control or confuse the
government by stirring up various conflicts and civil unrests within the nations. This is
apparent as it is vividly obvious that all contributors and participants in the Middle East
Crisis do not care about the lives of peasants, civilians and children that were continuously
maimed and lost during these unnecessary crises, unrests and terrorisms in the Middle East.
4. Middle East Crisis appears to be vaguely unsolvable due to its ethno-socio-politico-religious
complexities and dimensions as to its origin and present existential nature.
Therefore, adopting an integration of historical, diplomatic, psychosociological and scientific
methods the following solution is presented to be put into action with immediate effect;
1. All external governmental contributors and/or participants in the Middle East Crisis must
immediately back off and pull all their military and conflict resources out of the victimized
nations. For example, in Yemen, Iran and Saudi Arabia must immediately withdraw their
armed supports and mercenaries from Yemen.
2. An international Middle East conflict resolution tribunal must be immediately set up
administered by a unit or division under the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the Hague,
Netherlands to officially handle documentation of the Crisis towards a legal judicial
proceeding at the Permanent Court for International Justice (ICJ) for all local parties
involved in respectively affected countries. For example, as in the case of Yemen conflict,
local participants are the Houthi rebels and the incumbent Yemeni government every other
participants or contributors such as Iran, Saudi Arabia and its coalition, Al Qaeda, etc. must
be side-lined, not invited and rendered insignificant during any hearings, dialogue or
negotiation that pertains to Yemen Crisis as an example.
3. All terrorist and rebel groups must compulsorily review their organizational objectives to
emphatically adopt a civil, non-violent or non-conflict drenched approach in presenting
their agitations to concerned authorities at all levels – local, national or international.

4. Any agitations, misunderstanding or disagreements (which are inevitable) between two or
more Arab nations, within an Arab nation or that concerned its people must be settled
formally or informally through matured civilised decisive dialogues or processes between
concerned parties without any consideration for ethnicity, religious beliefs, lack of it or
religious orientations – the Sharia Law must be permanently abolished and destroyed!
In conclusion, no region or community of genuine human beings is immuned against
disagreements and misunderstandings, however, what makes the difference between the
disagreements and misunderstandings leading to long-term armed conflicts and those that
permanently faded away with sincere handshakes, hugs and smiles are in the level of intelligence,
maturity and civility involved in handling these misunderstanding and disagreements. And since
several researches have asserted that no present or past approaches to the Middle East conflict
could ensure or bring sustainable solutions to conflicts in the region, an integration of
psychosociological, diplomatic, historical and scientific methods are considered to bring about this
final resolution to the Middle East crisis and towards sustainable conflict prevention in the region.
