Based on the event type and guarantee policy, the balance of the monies due shall be paid to caterer seven days prior to the event, depending on each event. Any additional expenses incurred on the day of the event, not covered by the event deposit, may be billed on client's credit card or will be invoiced within five (5) days of the event and due within fifteen (15) days receipt of the invoice. Water Service The Sioux City Convention Center provides complimentary speaker water service for the podium and head table; this service may be arranged through your sales professional. Water bubblers, offering chilled filtered water, are placed throughout the convention center and if requested, are an additional charge. Food Service We offer a complete selection of food to compliment your function. No food of any kind may be brought into the event room without permission. Please use the banquet menus for your function planning. Consuming raw or uncooked meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness. Food and beverages prepared by Centerplate are not allowed to be taken off the property. Pricing / Service Charges Prices are subject to change without notice. Menu pricing includes food, linens, flatware, tables and chairs within our inventory, and set-up and take-down. Service Charge Centerplate accepts all major credit cards and company checks as payment for products and services. If payment is received less than five days prior to the event, certified funds or credit cards will be required (non-certified checks are not acceptable forms of payment. If the customer prefers to pay by company check, A credit card authorizations is required to facilitate on-site orders. Guarantees The exact number of guests must be given to our Catering office by noon, five (5) days prior to the Date of the function. This number is not subject to Reduction as food products have been ordered, Received, and prepared. As a precautionary measure, we will prepare 5% (not to exceed 20 meals) above the guaranteed number of guests. If no guarantee is received five days prior to the event, we will operate under the number of guests indicated on the event order (your original estimate). You will be charged for the guarantee or the number attending, whichever is greater. Displays, Decorations, and Personal Property All displays and/or decorations proposed by the patrons will be subject to approval. Any property of the patron and/or patron's guests brought onto the premises will be at the sole risk of the patron. The Sioux City Convention Center will not be liable for any loss or damage to any such property for any reason. All convention center displays and/or decorative items are to remain on the premises, affixed and/or arranged as upon patron's initial arrival on event day. Any removal and/or rearrangement or such, by patron's and/or patron's guests, without prior approval by authorized convention center personnel, may result in additional charges.
