User Manual for the Fastbanking Service
Thank you for choosing Fastbanking.
Whether you have chosen the Fasbanking service for yourself or for your business, you can perform out various bank operations via a
computer with an Internet connection (located anywhere) and by an authentication method of your choice, from those provided by the
bank. Access to this service is provided all year round, 24 hours a day.
Now you have maximum flexibility to perform a wide range of operations (in Lei and foreign currencies), anywhere and anytime:
• no need to go to the bank – you solve things fast, simply and cost-effective with Fastbanking
• you can preferentially choose one or more authentication methods in the Fastbanking application
• you can use various browsers
In addition, as a Fastbanking client, you can enable the FastMobile mobile banking service. Thus, you can perform banking
operations directly on your mobile phone or tablet.
In order to ensure an easy and fast browsing, the application has been structured in the following functional modules:
• Home - general information;
• Accounts Module - includes activities related to balances, statements, displaying transactions per various types of accounts;
• Operations Module - includes the operations that users can initiate in the application, grouped by types (payment orders in
national or foreign currency, transfers, currency exchanges, refgular payments, deposits etc.);
• Credit Module - viewing details about loans and credit cards;
• Mobile Banking Module - includes information about the FastMobile service, the ability to activate* the service and to set the user name;
• Settings Module - allows you to change the access password, customize the home page, change the customer safety parameters.
*for Fastbanking legal entity clients, the FastMobile service can only be enabled by a request in any Bancpost unit.

How to Activate Fastbanking?
There are just 3 easy steps to follow!
• Send the word FAST through SMS to 1704 and we call you back to provide you the username and to perform service activation OR call
us at 0213085460 (Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and get your user name.
• Access the application with the user name obtained from the ALO Bancpost and the password already received from the bank unit.
• Log in using your mobile phone (SMS/VIP Mobile) or token, depending on what you have chosen, ...
... and there you go, check account balances, pay bills, monthly installments, make exchanges, while saving time and money!
The Fastbanking application can be accessed:
• directly at: https://fastbanking.bancpost.ro
• on the dedicated website: www.fastbanking.ro
• on the Bancpost website (www.bancpost.ro) the OnlineBanking/Fastbanking section, the option called “Access the Fastbanking
application” or via the dedicated “Fastbanking Login” button posted on every page of the website.
After accessing the address, it is necessary that you connect (log-in), namely enter in the appropriate screen your user name obtained
from the ALO Bancpost (0213085460) and password received from the bank unit - Fig 1. At your first logging into the application, you will
have to change the password you have received with one you prefer.
Note
It is advisable that you keep the envelope containing the initial password received from the bank, because if you forget your preferred one,
you will be able to access Fastbanking by simply calling the ALO Bancpost, and having the password reset back to the original one.

Virtual Keyboard
What is a virtual keyboard?
Fastbanking allows you to enter your user name and password more safely by means of the virtual keyboard. This is a trusted replica of a
commonly used physical keyboard and provides greater protection against the attempts to capture authentication information - Fig. 2.
To connect in the Fastbanking application, you can use the virtual keyboard, physical keyboard, or both keyboards combined, as you
prefer.

How to use
Each field in the login page (user name, password) has its own virtual keyboard attached, which can be accessed by clicking on the icon
located on the right side of the field you are filling in.
The virtual keyboard allows you to choose the size in which you want to view it.
Important to Remember!
One of the special qualities of the virtual keyboard that gives it a high degree of data security is the ability to enter data without clicking
on the buttons: just position the mouse cursor on the desired key for a second. Keeping the mouse cursor on the same key for more than
a second will trigger the successive entry of a letter.
Remark
To use the virtual keyboard, your browser must be enabled with the “Javascript” option. Usually all browsers already have this option
enabled.
If a browser does not have the Javascript option enabled, the virtual keyboard cannot be used; the Fastbanking application will
automatically detect this and will generate a warning message - Fig. 3. To log in using the physical keyboard, you must click the
“Continue” button.

Client selection
Client selection is the operation of choosing from a list the client which the current user wants to use – the same user can be associated
with several clients (individuals or companies) and each client can have his own configurations and security settings. Additionally, the user
can change the language in which field labels and application messages will be displayed - Fig. 4

Home
After selecting the client, the application will display the home page including bank messages, a summary of balances, transactions and
exchange rates. By clicking on the “Settings” menu, you can customize the home page in terms of the content and information displayed.
Authentication
For certain operations (e.g. initiating a payment order in lei or foreign currency, approving a payment order in lei or foreign currency
etc.), besides the initial connection (with a user name and a related password), authentication is required by one of the methods you
own: Challenge/Token VIP/SMS/VIP Mobile.
Note
The elements of an authentication method cannot be associated to multiple users. Each user has their own authentication method.

Authentification Methods
In order to authenticate in the Fastbanking Internet banking application, you can choose one or more authentication methods,
according to your preferences:
• Token Challenge and/or
• Token VIP* and/or
• SMS and/or
• VIP* Mobile
*VIP=Verisign Identity Protection
Token Authentication Method Using a Token Challenge Digipass Authentication Device
What Is Token Challenge?
Digipass Token Challenge is a hardware device with a high degree of security used for authentication in the
Fastbanking application. This will guarantee the safety of a transaction both by its PIN, as well as by its
dynamic password generated randomly at every use.
The Token Challenge authentication device is provided by the bank to all clients using the Fastbanking service
and choosing this authentication method.
Note
In order to use this authentication method, it is required that you have your Token Challenge device initially unblocked.
You can do this by calling the Fastbanking service ALO Bancpost dedicated telephone number: 0213085460. More details on page 13.

How to Use
The first screen will display a list of available authentication methods - the ones you have requested the bank. Each user has their
own authentication elements. You can always ask the bank to add/change an authentication method.
Choose an authentication method: whether you have initially opted for one or several authentication methods, select (tick) the desired
authentication method for the current session - in this case Token Challenge – from the list displayed in the Fastbanking application - Fig. 6.

After selecting the token from the list, you will move to the next screen where you have to follow the indicated steps in order to enter the
code generated by the token - Fig. 7.

Note
Each user will have a personal Token Challenge device (in case the user wants to use this authentication method).

To generate this code, the Token Challenge device must be switched on and the correct PIN must be entered.
For security reasons, the device will be blocked at the first use. To unlock it, contact our dedicated Fastbanking ALO Bancpost service
at 0213085460.
After unblocking, the device starts by pressing ( ).
Enter the PIN.
Press 1 when the device screen shows “APPLI”.
Next, enter the number displayed in the Fastbanking application. The token will automatically generate a code that you must enter in
the appropriate field of the application and press the “Submit” button.
If you have not entered the correct code generated by the token, the application will display the error message: “Incorrect
authentication” and you have to re-enter the code. If the code entered is correct, you will be automatically redirected to the previously
requested page.
To shut down the device, successively press the triangle key ( ).
Note
Optionally, the PIN of the Token Challenge device can be changed: after entering the current PIN code, hold down the triangle key ( ) for
more than two (2) seconds; the token display will show the message “NEW PIN” and then you can enter the new PIN code; wait for the
message “PIN CONF” (code confirmation) and re-type the new PIN.

Token Authentication Method Using the OTP (one-time-password)
Token Authentication Device - Token VIP*
What is Token VIP*?
Token VIP* is a simplified hardware device (it does not require a PIN code or a challenge code),
having a high degree of security, used for authentication in the Fastbanking application.The
transactions are secured by the dynamic password generated randomly at every use.The Token
VIP* authentication device is provided by the bank to all clients using the Fastbanking service and

After selecting the VIP token from the list, you will see a new screen where the steps required for authentication are described - Fig. 9.
Start the device by pushing the only button available on it.
The device will generate a 6-digit code that you must enter in the Fastbanking application in the appropriate field, called “code
generated by the device”. Click the “Submit” button in the Fastbanking application to complete your authentication.

If you have not entered the correct code generated by the token, the application will display the error message “Incorrect
authentication” and you will need to re-enter the code. If the re-entered code is correct, you will be automatically redirected to the
previously requested page.
Note
The Token VIP device becomes the property of a client at the time of choosing this authentication method.
Each user will individually have a Token VIP device (in case the user wants to use this authentication method).
Mobile Phone Authentication Method by Using the SMS Option
In order to use this authentication method, you need a mobile phone having the option of receiving text (SMS) messages.
How to Use
The first screen will display a list of available authentication methods - the ones you have requested from the bank.
Each user has his/her own authentication elements. You can always ask the bank to add/change an authentication method.

Choose an authentication method: whether you have initially opted for one or several authentication methods, select (tick) the desired
authentication method from the list for the current session - in this case the SMS – namely the phone number that you use to sign in - Fig. 10.

After selecting a phone number from the list, you come to the next screen where you click the “Send SMS” button - Fig. 11. The
application will generate the dispatch of an SMS to the previously selected phone number and the SMS will contain a 6-digit code.
Enter the 6-digit code received in the SMS into the Fastbanking application dedicated field called “Code received by SMS”.
Click the “Submit” button in the Fastbanking application in order to complete your authentication.

If you have not entered the correct code, the application will display the error message “Incorrect authentication” and you will
need to re-enter it. If the number entered is correct, you will be automatically redirected to the previously requested page.
You can use the SMS authentication method by selecting one of the mobile phone numbers for which you have requested
authentication in Fastbanking. The SMS authentication method is recommended for nationwide use.

Mobile Phone Authentication Method Using VIP* Mobile
In order to use this authentication method, you need to own a mobile phone that has a Java/Javascript support and an Internet
connection, and install the VIP Mobile application on your mobile phone.
Important to Remember!
To streamline the process of enrolling in Fastbanking by VIP Mobile, we recommend that, before requesting this authentication
method from a bank unit, you should check the compatibility of your phone at:
https://vipmobile.verisign.com/supportedphones.v
If your phone is compatible, use it to download and install the software application from the m.verisign.com website.
Activating the software application downloaded on your mobile phone will take place during the first access from the phone menu
and will generate the software unique code for authentication that you must communicate to the bank, in the unit where you sign
the Fastbanking contract (for your enrollment in the system).

After selecting the ID from the list, you will see a new screen in which the steps required for authentication are described - Fig. 13.
The VIP* Mobile application is already installed on your mobile phone and can be accessed from its menu.
When opening the VIP* Mobile application, it will generate a code valid for 30 seconds which you must enter in the appropriate field of
the Fastbanking application called “The code generated by the device”. Click the “Send” button in the Fastbanking application to
complete your authentication.

User Manual for the FastMobile Service
The FastMobile Service ( Mobile Banking service of Bancpost) is available via the “Bancpost” application, which can be
downloaded for free and installed on a mobile phone/tablet by any user, regardless of whether or not being a client of the bank.
Downloading and installing the “Bancpost” application is not conditional on the purchase of the FastMobile service, so that any user
can benefit from the public banking information module.
How to Install the Bancpost Application?
• access the AppStore (for iOS) or GooglePlay (for Android) depending on the operating* system of your phone, search for the
“Bancpost” application and install it
or
• scan the QR CODE suitable for the operating system of your mobile phone and install the application.
The banking information public module of the Bancpost application includes the bank offer of products and services, active
promotions, currency converter and the exchange rate of Bancpost. In addition, the geo-location service in the “Bancpost” App allows
finding and viewing on the map the route to the closest Bancpost contact points: bank units, ATM’s and partner shops that accept
payment with Bancpost credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and American Express), specifying the number of supported installments
without interest. Moreover, you can receive alerts on the special offers available in your area, including at our partner shops, if you
activate the notification function in the Bancpost App.
*Compatible versions for iOS are 6.0 and higher, and for Android 2.3 and higher.

How to Activate FastMobile?
1. Access Fastbanking application and then click on the “mobile banking” module.
2. Access the “Activate FastMobile”* option and agree with the terms and conditions of use.
3. Set up your user name and that’s it!
