Fildas Group: Brief History
FILDAS TRADING – the Wholesale Business
• Fildas started to operate in the wholesale pharma business in 1991;
• usually ranked in the top 3 distributors in Romanian pharmaceutical
market (second in value, according to Ziarul Financiar on 17 Dec 2015);
• Fildas Trading provides full national coverage through its 14
warehouses in the most important cities. We are the distributor with the
largest number of warehouses among distributors of medicine in
Romania.
• Fildas Trading has one of the strongest financial positions among the
distributors in Romania. Over its history of 25 years it grew constantly
above the market rate;

CATENA – the Retail Business
• with over 550 pharmacies, Catena has
consolidated its market leader position in the
Romanian retail market in terms of number of
pharmacies, turnover and brand awareness;
• Catena was started in 1999 when
Fildas Trading acquired the state – owned
Farmaceutica Argesfarm SA;
• in 1999 Argesfarm had 30 urban pharmacies
spread around three counties;
• Catena has been growing ever since both
organically and through acquisitions;
• since 2012 it became the largest retail
network with national coverage;
Consolidated Financial Results
• the Group’s business grew much faster than the market: +16% in 2014 and +15% in 2015;
(market only grew by 6.2% in 2014 and by -4.8% in 2015)
• the Group’s profitability showed robust growth: EBITDA +17% in 2014 and +15% in 2015
• healthy leverage level with consolidated Net Debt / EBITDA below 1.
