The village of
Lyndhurst
History
Located on the Mid Western Highway about 26 kms
from Blayney and 43 kms from Cowra is the picturesque
country village of Lyndhurst. Just 50 minutes drive from
Bathurst and Orange, Lyndhurst is the gateway to South
Western NSW and an ideal destination for a day trip,
relaxing weekend or stopover.
About 250 locals enjoy the tranquillity of country life
with cultural and recreational activities on its doorstep.
The Lyndhurst Rifle Club was established in 1913, hosting
competitors with international accolades. The Public
School remains a centre of activities for families. The
Royal Hotel is the hub of the village and Stix & Stones
Cafe serves some of the best food and coffee around. The Autoport is conveniently located for fuel and supplies.
As an ‘RV friendly’ town, a warm welcome awaits at the
Lyndhurst Sports & Recreation Ground with new primitive
campground facilities. Play a round at the Lyndhurst Golf
Course. Enjoy a meal and meet the locals in the village.
AT THE LYNDHURST SPORTS
AND RECREATION GROUND
Local farming properties make a scenic landscape for
photographers. Well known for its thriving agricultural
industry and four distinct seasons, expect big open skies,
green pastures and picturesque waterways.
Explore the historic villages of nearby Mandurama, Carcoar,
Blayney and Millthorpe to indulge in wineries, fine food,
boutique shopping, museums, golf and indoor heated
swimming at the CentrePoint Sport & Leisure Centre, Blayney.
