The folder will appear in the menu, and you can fill it with content by clicking the add button below the folder. On @BI’s frontpage you will only see five of your itslearning courses. You will find all of your courses under Courses in itslearning. Here you can search for “Active”, “Archived” and “All” courses. Teacher’s Toolbox All employees are automatically members of the course “Teacher’s Toolbox”. It provides useful information regarding functionality and other elements in itslearning. A more thorough edition is also found on the website www.bi.no/learninglab. Add bulletins Each course has a bulletin board where you can publish announcements to the class. Select. Enter a subject and a text or a video. You can choose when to publish the bulletin. Remember to save. If you want to edit the bulletin after it has been published, press the subject text. Add course material Course material is published through the menu on the left hand side. Select You can add different elements such as files, folders, assignments and tests. Click the element you want to add, enter subject and text, and save. The element will automatically appear in the course menu. You can also set a time span for availability on all elements. File =document Note=page you can fill with text, pictures, videos and links. Assignment=elecronic assignment for uploading files. Designing the front page You can design much of the front page in your courses by adding and removing content blocks, and by “drag and drop” around the page. Copying course material You can easily copy a complete course or selected course material by clicking on the main folder in your course. The operation is performed in the course you want to copy from. Here you can select what material to copy, and choose “Copy” from the drop down-menu “Choose operation”. You select what area/course you want to copy to and click OK. Messages You can communicate with both students and staff at BI using the internal message system in itslearning. Message to students: Press “Participants” in your course (left side) and choose “ Send message”. Message to staff: Enter INBOX and press You can also search for any BI student or employee by pressing this icon Important! We recommend that you forward messages to your personal e-mail to avoid loosing important information and inquiries from you students. This setting is activated through INBOX – Message settings. N.B.
