We are off to a great start with our two synchronized skating teams this season. The Beginner 2
team had their first performance experience at our recent Dress Exhibition and are preparing for
their first competition at the Badger State Games in February. They are also scheduled to
compete at the Swansyncsation in Beaver Dam, and at the Eau Claire competition. Our Open
Juvenile team opens their season this weekend at the Foot of the Lake competition in Fond du
Lac, WI. They will join the Beginner 2 team at the Badger State Games, followed by the
Hiawathaland Competition in Rochester, MN and ending at the Eau Claire competition.

The teams have also been busy off the ice. The OJ team had 2 volunteer opportunities with
Maple Ridge Farms and Ministry Medical, while both teams collaborated with the Stevens Point
Junior Woman’s Club for the Stevens Point Holiday Parade and Tinsel Trail craft show. It was a
great opportunity to get more exposure for our synchro teams, while also showing our
hometown pride and community spirit. Thank you to all the team members, coaches and
parents who participated in these events!
For the second year in a row the teams have held a sponsor drive to assist in raising funds in
order to keep the cost of team participation as low as possible. While we are still seeing funds
coming in, the results to date are:

Code of Conduct Reminder –
Club members must refrain from the consumption, distribution, or possession of any
amount of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or controlled substances not obtained
for the individual with a valid prescription for medical treatment.
Required Volunteer Help
- Please remember
to check the volunteer book at the K.B. Willett for volunteer opportunities-there are
many still left to fill! The book is located by the CIFSC information by the bulletin board
when you walk in the main entrance. Reminder there is a 3 hour requirement per family
for volunteering. All unfilled hours will be billed at $20.00 per hour. Rink monitoring and
Concessions (except working during HS Competition and Dress Exhibition) do not count as
fulfilling your volunteer hours. If you have any questions regarding volunteer hours,
please contact Lynn Derber.

due by 7:30 p.m. the 2nd Sunday of the month - Jan 12, Feb. 9,
March 9, and April 13th.
Rink Monitor Reminder

Please remember to check the rink monitor schedule for all the sessions you have been
assigned. Rink monitor duties are very important to ensure the safety of our skaters. If a
scheduled time does not work for you, you may switch with another parent. Please
notify Debbie Przybylski (tdprzy@tds.net) of the switch so the schedule can be updated.
The rink monitor schedule can be found at the rink, on the website and is also shown
below. A list of parent contact information can be found at the back of the rink monitor
binder at the rink. As a reminder, you will be charged $20 fee for missed sessions. If you
have any questions or concern regarding rink monitoring, please contact Debbie
Przybylski.
