It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Education Queensland’s
Today’s Youth in Music Education (TYME) Festival.
The Festival showcases the excellent performing arts programs in
our schools from across the region. On offer is 4 hours of non-stop
entertainment on 8 stages involving approximately 4,000 student
performers.
I encourage you to take full advantage of the many excellent
performances taking place throughout the day, to enjoy the baby
animals at Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms and a little down-time
sampling the delicious food and drinks on offer.
I also hope that in your time at the Festival, you will make the
opportunity to look around and enjoy the world-class facilities
provided at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).
Once again, this Festival would not be possible without the ongoing
assistance and support of Professor Jan Thomas USQ Vice-Chancellor
and President to whom I am most grateful.
