Rex Roden`s 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe
Rex Roden’s 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe The car is a 1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe that is powered by a fuel injected 502 Chevy motor with a TH400 tranny with shift kit and a 3200 stall convertor. The car is a prostreet with electric windows; A/C; and CD player. The paint is a PPG color - Purple Crush Pearl. Jim Hague’s 1941 Chevy Pickup The 1941 Chevrolet Pick up is painted with 1977 Corvette Bright Yellow paint, it has Mustang II rack and pinion suspension with disk brakes. Powered by a SBC 350 motor with an 700R-4 overdrive transmission. The truck has Vintage A/C and Heat, Power windows, Power Brakes. oak bed, and a 1931 Cadillac trunk. Wide whites and a low stance and many other special features, its a blast to cruise around in. Mel & Mary Rose’s 1965 Corvette Convertible Our car is a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible, white with black top and interior. It is a numbers matching 327/300 with a four speed. It is pretty much stock, per your guidelines. We are members of the Capitol City Cruisers and are very much looking forward to your event. Mike & Paula Ewing’s 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint We really enjoyed the show last year and are looking forward to it again. We are bringing our 1963 ½ Ford Falcon Sprint. It is a V-8 – 4 speed – generator. Exterior is Rangoon Red & interior is Red. Bobby & Bill Clark’s 1979 Fiat 124 Spider “Sofia” Our nickname for the car is 'Sofia'. Her license plate is '79SOFIA'. We purchased the car in May, 1983. She was blue then and had a luggage rack on the trunk along with a lot of extra trim. We had her painted red in 1989 and removed the rack and most of the trim pieces in order to accentuate her neat Pininfarina style. After years of enjoyment, we gave the car to our son - Clifford Clark of San Ramon, CA - who had the car for 13 years during which time he lovingly restored her and modified the suspension to lower the car a couple of inches and remove the 'high-pockets' look made necessary to meet US standards. Two years ago we retired and moved to Gualala. Our son decided that 'Sofia' was the perfect car for the roads here, so he embarked on another reincarnation for her. He installed an all-new interior and a new top. The car was again painted 'Aztec Red' and carefully reassembled. He spent endless hours on details. The car has just 124,000 original miles on the odometer so he figured that she was worth the effort. Once here, we had Junior Roddy (JR's Auto Service here in Gualala) do some performance improvements such as a much larger carburetor, modified manifolds, and ignition. Since we are in a smog-exempt area, we also removed all of the smog gadgets. She has an ANSI dual exhaust system and the wheels are from a 1981 Turbo Spider. This California car originally had 80 HP but now is closer to 120. She is fun to drive around on these curvy coastal roads. Much better that driving on the freeway. 'Sofia' was in the 2012 Show here. She placed second to a very cool 1964 Alfa 2500 Roadster. The show is a lot of fun and we wouldn't miss it this year. Doug Douglas’ 1936 Chevy Master Deluxe Coupe I have entered my Purple 1937 Ford for the past two years and won “ladies choice” both years. We will see how I do with my new entry this year. It is a 1937 Chevy Master Deluxe Coupe saved from a pile of rusty junk on display in a winery. As you can see from the pictures, it has been reborn. It is a result of a collaboration of several people and businesses in the Sacramento area. Body shop here, engine builder there, etc. I have been adding the finishing touches in order to have it ready for the Gualala show (which is mine and my wife’s favorite) show of the year. Now about the car: Engine: 383 cu in Chevy Stroker motor built by “Smeding” putting out 450 H.P. and 460 lbs torque. Everything is chromed or polished. Trans: Tremec 5 speed / Hurst shifter with Hurst line lock. Rear End: 9” Ford Positraction 350 ratio. Body work: Original steel except for two rear fenders done by a local Auto Body shop in Rancho Cordova. Rear tail lights are out of a 1941 Studebaker. Paint: 2002 Corvette “Electron Blue” Interior: Leather interior. Power tinted windows, Vintage AC/Heating, killer stereo (AM/FM/CD/ipod), tilt steering, custom gauges fit into original dash board. Power rack and pinion steering, 4 wheel disk brakes. Car is clean but it is also a driver. We will be driving it over from the South Lake Tahoe area. Looking forward to the whole week-end. Bob & Karen Lynds’ 2003 GMC Sierra Stepside 2 Door Pickup We will be attending the cars/truck custom show this year and showing our 2003 GMC Pickup: 2003 GMC Sierra Stepside 2 Door Pickup Daily Driver Lowered Dual Exhaust 20" Custom Azhur Rims Billet Grille Looking forward to attending the event! Marlys Adams’ 1987 Chevy Silverado Stepside Pickup Rick Knight’s 1961 Jeep Richard Gale’s 1948 Ford Convertible Kirk Hanak’s 1955 Chevy 210 Resto-Mod John & MarySue Erickson’s 1963 Chevy Impala SS I am the second owner. This is a numbers matching original car. My son and I did a frame-off complete restoration ourselves 2 ½ years ago. We won the Grand Marshall’s Award for the best original car at Hot August Nights in Reno in 2013. This is a replica car of our first new car we purchased in 1963. We searched for years to find a great car from the original owner who had left it original. Tim Price’s 1994 Ford Ranger “PreRunner” BAJA BROS PRO DESERT RACE PRERUNNER In professional desert racing, the racecourse, usually hundreds of miles long, is marked out weeks before the event for racers to “pre run”. During a pre-run, racers familiarize themselves with the race course and mark out danger areas on the GPS map they’ll be using during the actual race. To do this important pre-running, special vehicles are used called prerunners. They are built for reliability, safety and high -speed travel over all kinds of desert terrain. This truck is one of those vehicles, designed and fabricated by Jake Batulis, who is now with SpaceX, a private space transport company founded in part to colonize Mars. The Baja Bros Prerunner started out as a 1994 4x4 Ford Ranger. In its final form it was featured in Fourwheeler/Offroad Magazine in 2003 ( FRONT SUSPENION • Front axles extended 4.5 inches each side to increase wheel travel • 15 inches of wheel travel vs. stock 6 inches • King coil over shocks used to allow suspension fine-tuning • FOX bump stops act as a secondary suspension REAR SUSPENSION • Unique cantilevered suspension allows shocks to be almost horizontal under the truck bed • King bypass racing shocks used for fine-tuning suspension performance • 17 inches of wheel travel Tim Price’s 1994 Ford Ranger “PreRunner” BAJA BROS PRO DESERT RACE PRERUNNER (continued) ENGINE • Stock 4.0 V6 • Custom aluminum air box for improved air filtration • Bassani headers TRANSMISSION • FORD C4 3-speed automatic built by Transwerks R & D • Art Carr racing shifter • Custom driveshaft by Drivelines Unlimited • SETRAB transmission cooler REAR AXLE • Currie 9-inch Prerunner reinforced axle • 4.11 gears • 35-spline axles • Detroit Locker • Deaver Suspension G50 race leaf springs EXTERIOR • Extended fiberglass fenders from Perry’s Fab and Fiber • HELLA 4000 Rallye lights 28 gallon competition fuel cell by McLean Fab, Sonoma Raceway INTERIOR • Mastercraft Safety ProSeats & Safety competition harnesses • PCI Race Radios intercom & headsets • Autometer gauges • ICOM radio • Roll cage by BCG7 Fabrication, Sacramento CA John Roman’s 1963 Ford Falcon Convertible John Roman’s 1963 Ford Falcon Convertible Donn & Sylvia Edlund’s 1967 Chevy Camaro SS
