Echota is on a Roll!
2015 was a great year for the community, and the future remains bright.
The year 2015 was a good one for the Echota
community, as well as the Echota family.
Property sales were up—resulting in two
consecutively strong years—thanks in no small
part to the efforts of Jay Harrill, Echota’s newest
broker and son to Echota’s president and vice
president, Mark and Missy Harrill. It appears
the resort real estate slump is over as residents
from other communities sold properties in order
to join the Echota family of owners.
This ownership camaraderie is one of
Echota’s biggest selling points. Today’s resort
homeowners want it all, and Echota offers
the convenience of condo living with the
amenities of a resort community and the sense
of welcoming from a family of owners. That
spirit of welcome is evident at events such as the
4th of July celebration and our newly expanded
Backyard Music Series. As we look toward 2016,
we plan on adding even more events to bring the
community together.
only did we completely sell out the first building
we offered, we also sold half the units in the
second building. We wish we could keep adding
buildings to meet the demand, but unlike our
scenic views that seem to go on forever, the
neighborhood has limitations.
It wasn’t just new construction that was
successful; 2015 also saw a rise in resale
activity, with 70% of those sales achieved by
Team Echota versus outside brokers. It makes
sense. Our team remains on property all day,
they’re knowledgeable and passionate about
the community, and they actively seek out
Echota-only leads. Plus, our new interactive
map at EchotaNC.com makes finding available
properties easy.
It is our belief that the good years of 2014 and
2015 were merely building momentum for the
great year ahead! We expect a lot of new interest
this spring and summer. Owners are telling their
friends, and word is spreading fast. If you’ve
been waiting for the right time to buy, that time
is now.
