I would like to personally invite you to our Congress in Barcelona from November 8-9, 2013.
The Congress will provide a dedicated forum for the exchange of innovative ideas and will offer you an unrivalled
opportunity to learn about current and new developments in the fields of aesthetic medicine and surgery.
The theme of ECAMS 2013 is New Frontiers in Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. We are pleased to have many
distinguished speakers who I am sure will inspire and entertain over the exciting two-day agenda. Rather than pack
the agenda with short 10-minute presentations, we felt it would enhance the learning experience to have experts
give more comprehensive, in-depth lectures.
Consistent with the growing trend toward procedures that are minimally invasive, ECAMS 2013 offers insights into some of the latest
developments in minimally invasive and ambulatory procedures, including face lift, breast augmentation under local anaesthesia, and
thread lifts. You will learn about the most effective laser and body contouring technologies, as well as totally new concepts in lightbased therapies. You will be given insights into high-definition total body sculpting, the future of fat grafting, and advanced techniques
using botulinum toxins and fillers. In addition, we have a session dedicated to the exciting new field of cosmetic vaginal surgery.

Raj Acquilla MBChB MRCGP MBCAM
Dr Acquilla is a recognised expert in facial contouring, volume replacement, and non-surgical approaches to face
lifting. He is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical education programmes and is Master Class
Trainer at the Facial Aesthetic Academy which he founded. He divides his time between his busy dermatological surgery
practices in Cheshire, London, and Ibiza.
Dr Acquilla is a full member and North West Regional Chair of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine, UK Ambassador
for Allergan Facial Aesthetics, and Global Key Opinion Leader in the cosmetic use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.
He is also actively involved in scientific audit, research and development of pioneering products and techniques.
Oscar A. Aguirre MD FACOG
Oscar Aguirre is an internationally recognized gynecologist, trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive
Surgery, with over 15 years of experience in reconstructive and cosmetic vaginal surgery. He provides minimallyinvasive in-office Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation and Aesthetic Body Contouring procedures. He is an expert in addressing
women’s functional and aesthetic concerns; Anti-Aging Medicine offering compounded Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy
and in VASER Hi Definition Liposculpture, and Autologous Fat Transfer.
He is: Clinical Assistant Professor in Urogynecology, the University of Colorado; Medical Director of Aguirre Specialty

Alexandros Bader MD AAOGG
Dr Bader is an internationally renowned specialist OB&GYN and Cosmetic Gynecologist who pioneered cosmetic vaginal
surgery (CVS) in Europe.
Following training and fellowships in Los Angeles and New Jersey, USA with the most innovative surgeons in the fields
of cosmetic surgery and gynecology, Dr Bader returned to Greece. He became the first doctor in Europe to exclusively
practice cosmetic vaginal surgery.
Dr Bader is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists,
and the International Society of Cosmetogynecology. He is visiting surgeon at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery
Hospital, the founder and director of Keep Femina Cosmetic Gynecology Center of Athens, Greece, and Director in the
Department of Reconstructive and Cosmetic Gynecology at Athens Beverly Hills Medical Group in Glyfada, Athens.
Alberto Di Giuseppe MD
Alberto Di Giuseppe MD is board certified in plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery and is senior surgeon at the
University of Ancona Plastic Surgery Department. He is Associate Professor of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the
University of Oradea, Romania, and Associate Professor of Surgery at the Lipoplasty University of Austin, Texas.
Dr Di Giuseppe is a leading trainer in body contouring and fat grafting and trains doctors from all over the world in
advanced lipoplasty techniques. He is co-editor of Liposuction: Principles and Practice (Springer 2006), Body
Contouring: Art, Science, and Clinical Practice (Springer 2010), and Cosmetic Surgery. Art and Techniques (Springer 2011).
Dr Di Giuseppe has busy aesthetic surgery practices in Ancona, Bologna, and Milan, Italy, and in London.
Alfredo E. Hoyos MD
Dr. Alfredo Hoyos received his medical degree from El Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia, where he specialized in
plastic, aesthetic, maxillofacial, and hand surgery. He completed three visiting fellowships in New York in aesthetic,
maxillofacial, and facial aesthetic surgery. He is now a renowned cosmetic surgeon, most noted for his innovations in
ultrasound-assisted liposuction, including the world famous 4D Sculpt and VASER Hi-Def.
Dr. Hoyos is President and chief instructor at the Dynamx International Center for Artistic Body Sculpting, headquartered
in Bogota, where he shares his experience and innovation in UAL, including dynamic definition liposculpture (4D
Sculpt). He teaches his techniques to surgeons from all over the world. He is also a widely published author, a highly
respected lecturer, and a sought after expert in his field.

Ken Hughes
Ken Hughes is a consumer behaviouralist, thought leader, and international conference speaker, Hughes inspires
audiences around the world in his keynote addresses and motivational lectures. CEOs and brand managers of some of
the world’s largest corporations seek out his unique and challenging insights into what really makes a product or
service sell. Hughes focuses on consumer motivational theory, and applies psychological, neuro-marketing, and
behavioural economics to a diverse range of industries, from retail to aesthetic services, to change behaviours. His
in-depth exploration of brand, category, and service environment unlocks business growth through motivational
triggers aimed at the consumer or client.
Yves-Gerard Illouz
Dr Illouz pioneered lipoplasty with blunt cannulas 35 years ago, and has made invaluable contributions to the specialty
over the past three decades. A true visionary, Dr Illouz has won numerous major awards for his seminal work, and
continues to contribute to the field of lipoplasty through papers, books, and exciting lectures.
Christopher Inglefield BSc MBBS FRCS (Plast)
Mr Christopher Inglefield is one of the UK’s most pioneering plastic surgeons. With over 25 year’s experience, he has
been at the forefront of the plastic surgery evolution. He has been quoted extensively for medical journals on plastic
surgery and is regularly invited to speak at leading international conferences. He has served as specialist advisor and
consultant for cosmetic and medical companies globally.
Currently, Mr Inglefield works across the full spectrum of cosmetic procedures including niche surgeries for concerns
such as sagging earlobes and receding hairlines. He has recently launched The Inglefield Facial, a non-invasive, state
of the art treatment to bridge the gap between high-end facials and injectables, and continues to push forward
groundbreaking surgeries and a superb level of care.
He is the founder of the new Wimpole Street London Bridge Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Clinic.
Chien Kat MBBS FRCS (Plast)
Chien Kat was appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the University Hospital of Birmingham
in October 2000, with a general plastic and breast interest.
In 2010, she set up her own clinic, CC Kat Aesthetics, where she now works full time providing the full range of surgical
and non-surgical procedures. Her areas of expertise include breast augmentation using polyurethane coated implants,
the ‘lock and glue’ lipoabdominoplasty and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation procedures.
CC Kat is a regular speaker at international conferences.
As one of the founding members of the Nagor West Midlands Aesthetic Fellowship, CC Kat takes an active role in training
the next generation of aesthetic surgeons.
Marco Pelosi III is the quintessential cosmetic gynecologist, pioneer and chief architect of the global cosmetic vaginal
surgery revolution. The younger half of the internationally renowned Pelosi-Pelosi team who created the specialty of
cosmetogynecology and founded the ISCG, its first & largest society, he has taught and demonstrated his
groundbreaking techniques to the large majority of today's up and coming experts & opinion leaders and collaborated
with and united the most famous and talented surgeons in the field.
Sought after by patients, surgeons, the media and the medical industry, he has more than 100 published articles, over
600 global presentations and over two decades of surgical experience to his credit. He serves as chairman, program
director, subject matter specialist, section editor for some of the largest entities in profession. Trained and board
certified in gynecology & pelvic surgery in the Cornell University medical system in Manhattan, and postgraduatetrained in aesthetic surgery nationally & internationally with some of the finest plastic, dermatologic and cosmetic
surgeons in the world, he maintains a busy surgical practice that caters to women's aesthetic and gynecologic needs
in the New York metro area. His main aesthetic interests are body contouring & cosmetic gynecology.
Dr Pelosi III envisions a goal of global excellence in cosmetic gynecology on par with established cosmetic operations
through the dissemination of structured, top quality education and close collaboration with aesthetic surgeons from
all specialties.

Maurice Mommaerts MD DMD PhD
Dr. Maurice Y. Mommaerts is professor and head of the European Face Centre at the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel, Belgium.
He is visiting consultant, Ministry of Health, Al Baraha Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; honorary consultant Cleft
and Cranio-Facial Centre & Professor in Research, KLES, Karnataka, Belgaum, India; member of the Board of Directors,
Aesthetic and Reconstructive Craniofacial Surgery Foundation, Hyderabad, Andrah Pradesh, India, visiting Professor,
University of Concepción and of the Universitat de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. He is coordinator of the Steering Group
Cosmetic Facial Surgery of EAMCFS. Dr Mommaerts is owner and director of the Orthoface Clinic in Sint-Martens-Latem.
Dr. Mommaerts has written over 150 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on facial corrective surgery.
Dr Roberto Pizzamiglio is an Italian Plastic Surgeon. He graduated in medicine and did his postgraduate training at
the University of Pavia in Italy.
Since the beginning of his career his surgical activity has been focused on new surgical technologies and minimally
invasive procedures applied to aesthetic surgery. He was a pioneer in ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty at the end of the
1980s and developed a long experience with endoscopic face lift surgery in the 90s. He taught facial surgery in the
postgraduate Masters in Padova University (2008-2010) and as Associate Professor in Udine University (2009-2012). He
has been Scientific Consultant and teaching course director for Silhouette Lift SL since 2006.
Since 1997 he is based in Spain where he is director of the Aesthetic Surgery Unit in USP Hospital in Marbella.
Angelo Rebelo MD
Dr Rebelo is truly a visionary in aesthetic surgery. His pioneering work includes the development and refinement of
ambulatory cosmetic surgery, blepharoplasty with mini incisions, nutational infrasonic liposculpture, and intra-areolar
breast augmentation under tumescent anaesthesia.
He teaches and performs surgical demonstrations globally and his surgical techniques and innovations in aesthetic
surgery are the subject of regular interviews in Portuguese and international media. .He has won numerous awards,
medals, and accolades, and is an active member of professional societies and associations throughout the world.
A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon Dr Rebelo became a specialist in plastic, reconstructive,
and aesthetic surgery in 1990. He has been practicing exclusively in private practice for 15 years, and is Clinic Director
and cosmetic surgeon at the world renowned Clinica Milénio.
Vijay Sharma MD, MBBS
Dr Sharma is an awarding surgeon with an international reputation. He has published numerous works of original
research. He speaks at numerous international congresses.
Dr Sharma is: Visiting Cosmetic Surgeon: Harley Street, London (UK), West Hampstead Cosmetic Surgery Hospital, London,

Melvin A. Shiffman MD JD
Dr Shiffman practices in the field of general surgery, oncologic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery.
He is also a medical legal consultant in medical malpractice, personal injury cases, and medical board problems.
Melvin A. Shiffman received his M.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in
1957 and his J.D. from Western State University College of Law in Orange, California in 1976. He is Past-President of the
American College of Legal Medicine (2009-2010) and has been Chair of the Section of Surgery at Tustin Hospital and
Medical Center, Tustin, California since 2002.
He lectures internationally on cosmetic surgery and legal medicine and has published a number of successful books
and papers his most recent book being Autologous Fat Transfer published in, 2010.

Konstantin Sulamanidze MD
Dr Sulamanidze is the branch manager of Plastic Aesthetic Surgery Clinic Total Charm.
He is a member of the: International Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (IPRAS); International
Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS); Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of Georgia (GeoPRAS); Club of
Plastic Surgeons of Ukraine. The co-author of Aptos methods he has published numerous articles and theses including
“Minimally invasive lifting of the face and neck lower area by Aptos Needle method”
Hema Sundaram M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr Sundaram is a trained board dermatologist, and the Founder of her aesthetic dermatology practice in Washington,
D.C. She holds masters and medical degrees with honors from the University of Cambridge. She trained at The Royal
London Hospital, the University of Chicago, and the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Sundaram has received awards for her clinical and research work.
She serves on the ASDS Education Work Group; the ISDS Board of Directors; the IMCAS Scientific Committee; is a Chair
and Course Director for physician education initiatives; and is an advisor to Medscape, the Dermatology Education
Initiative, The HealthCentral Network online and Fitness magazine.
Dr. Sundaram is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, an editorial advisor to other journals and
the author of Face Value. Widely published, she is also a Section Editor for the 2nd Multidisciplinary Edition of Clinics
in Plastic Surgery.
Luiz Toledo MD
Luiz Toledo MD is a well-known and respected innovator in the surgical techniques of facial rejuvenation and body
contouring. In 2005 he moved from São Paulo, Brazil to the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. His Dubai office
receives patients from around the world.
Dr. Toledo is a Professor of Post-graduate Education in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by the International Society of Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery - ISAPS. A highly sought after lecturer, Dr. Toledo performs all types of aesthetic & plastic surgery,
including the more traditional techniques, the majority of them undertaken in a high-tech hospital in Dubai.
Dr. Toledo has edited twelve plastic surgery textbooks, contributed to countless titles and published over 60 scientific papers.
Christopher B. Zachary FRCP
Dr. Christopher Zachary specializes in cutaneous oncology and reconstruction, cosmetic and laser surgery and is Professor
and Chair, Department of Dermatology, University of California, Irvine.
He has conducted industry supported research in optimal systems for cutaneous laser surgery. He has been the program
director for the Mohs College and the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine annual meetings. He is a Past
President of the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons.
Dr. Zachary trained at London’s Royal Free Hospital. At the Institute of Dermatology, Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospitals he
