New 25 year Warranty on all Meade Binoculars and Spotting Scopes*
Meade’s new 25 year warranty is one of the best in the business. Not only is your product covered for defects in material and workmanship
for 25 years, it also comes with a Meade One Year “No Questions Asked” return or “Trade-Up” policy. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with
your Meade Binocular, simply return it to the local Meade dealer for a full refund – “No Questions Asked” or “Trade-Up” to a better model.
Meade binoculars and spotting scopes* are warranted by Meade Instruments
Corporation (“Meade”) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for
a period of TWENTY-FIVE (25) YEARS from the date of original purchase in the
U.S.A. and Canada. Meade will repair or replace the product, or part thereof,
found upon inspection by Meade to be defective, provided the defective part
or product is returned to Meade, freight prepaid, with proof of purchase. This
warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Meade
products purchased outside North America are not included in this warranty,
but are covered under separate warranties issued by Meade International
Distributors.
One Year “No Questions Asked” policy: If you are dissatisfied with your Meade
Binocular or Spotting Scope*, simply return the product to the dealer where
the product was originally purchased and receive a full refund for the product
“no questions asked.” Proof of purchase is required. This warranty applies to the
original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Meade products purchased
outside North America are not included in this warranty, but are covered
under separate warranties issued by Meade International Distributors.
One Year "Trade-Up" policy: Trade-up to a better model within one year of
your original purchase date. The trade-up policy requires the return of the
binocular or spotting scope* to the authorized Meade dealer where it was
originally purchased. The original purchase value of the binocular or spotting
scope can be applied towards the purchase of a more expensive model. Proof
of purchase is required. “Trade-Up” is dependent upon dealer stock and product
availability. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is nontransferable. Meade products purchased outside North America are not
included in this warranty, but are covered under separate warranties issued
by Meade International Distributors.
RGA Number Required: Prior to the return of any product or part, a Return
Goods Authorization (RGA) number must be obtained from Meade by writing,
or by calling (800) 626-3233. Each returned part or product must include a
written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as the
owner’s name, address, and phone number.
This warranty is not valid in cases where the product has been abused or
mishandled, where unauthorized repairs have been attempted or performed,
or where depreciation of the product is due to normal wear-and-tear. Meade
specifically disclaims special, indirect, or consequential damages or lost profit,
which may result from a breach of this warranty. Any implied warranties which
cannot be disclaimed are hereby limited to a term of one year from the date of
original retail purchase.
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights which vary
from state to state. Meade reserves the right to change product specifications
or to discontinue productions without prior notice. This warranty supersedes
all previous Meade binocular warranties.
In the event that your Meade binocular or spotting scope requires servicing,
please follow this procedure:
• Carefully package your binocular or spotting scope to avoid shipping damage;
use a thick-walled carton box for mailing.
• Enclose a written statement detailing the exact nature of the service needed.
Be sure to include your name, address, plus daytime and evening telephone
numbers.
• Enclose $20.00 to cover handling and return-shipping, by check or money order
payable to "Meade Instruments." Warranty servicing will not be performed
without receipt of this handling and shipping charge. Non-warranty repairs
may entail additional charges which will be confirmed with you before any
binocular or spotting scope repairs are initiated.
• Insure the package and send your binocular or spotting scope, freight
prepaid, to:
