The New Identity

Deputy Chief of Police Rich
Gerlach on 25 years of dedicated and professional service
to the Village of Richton Park
and it's citizens. We are all better off in our professional and
personal lives for having
someone as dedicated and
professional as Deputy Chief
Gerlach in it. Here's to many
more years of service!

In the new re-branding
endeavor with a5 Branding
& Digital, a new brand and
identity will be developed,
telling the story for our beloved Village of Richton
Park. Through the new brand,
Richton Park’s population of
15,000 is working to build
community involvement and
spur retail, commercial and
residential development. We
expect to debut the new story
and brand the second quarter
of 2016. Stay tuned for future
events that will include your
input and feedback on what
and how you wish Richton
Park to be represented.

When Amanda is not working she enjoys time with family, friends, traveling, reading
and listening to Inspirational
music. Amanda is extremely
faithful in her church. She
serves as Armor Bearer;
Evangelist, Board Member,
Financial Department Director and Officer; Youth
Ministry Director; Christian
Education Instructor for both
Youth and Young Adults.
She is also the Director of
the Children’s Church Ministry. As a volunteer, Amanda
helps to feed the hungry as
well.
Amanda has been a resident
of the Richton Park community for 14 years. In 2000,
she received her Bachelor’s
Degree from Robert Morris
College, majoring in Business Management. She has
over 20 years of experience
in Administration including,

Richton Park Raider’s Proclamation
During the last Richton Park
Village Board Meeting on
January 11th, President Reinbold and the Board of Trustees passed a proclamation
acknowledging the Richton
Park Youth Athletic Association of Richton Park’s Richton Park Raiders Cheerleading program on an outstanding 2015 season. This year,
Richton Park Raiders Cheerleading set the bar high, as
their dedication, hard work,
long hours of practice,
support, and commitment
exemplified the pride and
heart of the organization..
This season, Raiders Cheerleading has placed 1st in
“Light Weight Cheer” at the
IRCA Opening Day Competition, placed 1st in “Junior
Varsity and Varsity Cheer” at
the IRCA Cheer Pink Competition, placed 1st in
“Varsity Cheer” at the IRCA
Tumbleweed Ranch Competition, and had three teams
compete statewide out of 700
total.
It is proclaimed, that the
Board extends the community’s sincere congratulations
and heartfelt wishes to the
Richton Park Raiders cheerleaders in recognition and
celebration of their excellent
2015 season.

Relay For Life:
Kickoff
Celebration!
Join us Tuesday, January
26th for the official 2016 Relay For Life Far South Suburbs Kickoff Celebration.
This joyous event will be
located at the Richton Park
Library (22310 Latonia Lane)
from 6:00pm until 7:30pm.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life event is a
life-changing experience that
gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance
to Celebrate the lives of
people who have battled
cancer, Remember loved
ones lost, and Fight Back
against the disease. Each
year, more than 4 million
people in over 20 countries
take part in this global
phenomenon and raise muchneeded funds and awareness
to save lives from cancer.
At the event Tuesday evening, participants can find out
more about Relay For Life,
form a team, join a team, read
of those with fortunate success stories. explore survivor
and caregiver activities, as
well as enjoy light refreshments.

Bitty Basketball is a co-ed
league that will help young
players from Pre-K through
2nd grade learn the basic
fundamentals of basketball.
Players will develop social
skills, character and selfesteem while developing and
learning the game of basketball. Each child will learn and
improve in basic dribbling,
shooting, passing, teamwork,
sportsmanship, and skillrelated games - but most of
all, have FUN playing basketball. All players will receive a
uniform, with an awards ceremony ending the season.
Practices are on Wednesdays,
at 6:00pm ad games are on
Saturdays. Fees are $50 for
residents, and $60 for nonresidents. Register today!
Bitty Cheer Camp is a fun
cheer program designed for
our young dancers and cheerleaders, ages 3-9. Participants
will combine cheers, music,
routines, jumps, and stunts,
and will perform during the
Bitty Ball season, with
Saturday morning games
starting January 16th. All
participants will receive uniform and an awards ceremony ending the season. Cheer
practices are Wednesdays.
These practice times will be
6:00pm-7:00pm for ages 3-5,
and 7:00pm-8:00pm for ages
6-9. All practices and games
will be located at the Richton
Park Community Center.
Fees are $50 for residents,
and $60 for non-residents.

Annual Parent / Child Dances
Fathers and daughters making
memories together has become a wonderful tradition in
February. Put on your best
outfit & get ready for food,
dancing, games, and much
more. This year’s Daddy/
Daughter Dance will be on
Saturday, February 13th from
7:30 - 9:30pm. Event will be
held at the Richton Park
Community Center, and for
daughters ages 4-11. To
attend, it’s $30 per couple,
and $10 each additional child.
