As we kick off the New Year of 2016, MacDill is ready to
start celebrating 75 years of excellence here on the base!
January is always a great month to take your personal
fitness to a whole new level and to jump-start the fun: you’ll
want to sign up for the Gladiator Assault Challenge on
29 Jan. A true test of physical endurance, this event is
always popular.
February will be full of ways to celebrate your loved ones
with a Catering Expo on 4 Feb, a Mardi Gras Family Fun
Night for all ages on 5 Feb, a Love Run 5k on 12 Feb
and the Annual Club Member Sweetheart’s Dinner; later
that same evening. Bring your little princess to the Youth
Center for the Princess Tu-Tu Fun Run on 20 Feb and
then stop by MacDill Lanes for the Valentine’s 9 Pin No
Tap tournament.

Before you know it, Spring will be in full swing and thoughts
will turn to Spring Break and family vacations. Stop by the
Travel Expo hosted by the Information, Tickets & Travel
office on 2 March and check out their specials! Easter

bring the whole family out to the Annual Easter Festival
and Egg Hunt on 12 March. The whole base will be in full
swing the weekend of 19-20 March and will welcome the
Air Force Thunderbirds back to MacDill for AirFest to help
commemorate MacDill’s 75th Birthday!

On this adventure we will instruct you on the essentials of kayaking in a
safe & beautiful environment. Join the fun, bring some friends and get back into nature!

Kayaks, paddles and instruction will be provided. Trip will depart from the Marina at 7am and return
around 6pm. Please bring a packed lunch, comfortable clothes and plan to be on the lake all day.

Back by popular demand! Reserve your space as this trip fills up fast!

Bring coolers and dress for the weather. There are no age limitations. No hunting license is needed. Meals
are not included but there are several restaurants close by. Bring plenty of water/drinks (ice is provided)
Any legal weapon may be used, but please no .22’s. We are bow friendly and have crossbows for your use.
Guests may bring broad heads or purchase them for $10 each. Hunters will be staggered in and out so
bring chairs if so desired. Questions may be directed to Tiger Island Outfitters at (352) 543-0851.
Transportation, cleaning fee, and guide tip included in price. Trip will depart from the Marina at 6am and
return around 9pm. Please bring coolers to hold your hog meat.

instructor and to get equipment. Enjoy 75 minutes of shooting at targets with a friendly
competition toward the end. Trip will depart from the Marina at 9am and return around
12:30pm. Please wear comfortable clothes but no baggy articles of clothing or dangly
jewelry. Ensure long hair is tied back.

Get ready for a muddy good time!

ATV, helmets, goggles & transportation are included. ATVing rain or shine!
Must be 16 yrs and over; 1 person per ATV. Guests should wear closed-toed
shoes and bring a change of clothes because you will get muddy! Feel free to
bring lunch and a small cooler for drinks. Trip will depart from the
Marina at 9:30am and return around 4:30pm.
